I KNOW PAYPALS' SYSTEM IN AND OUT BECAUSE THEY SCREWED ME ON THEIR T.O.S.

i doesnt matter when you file a claim, it doesnt matter if seller was a scammer and never responded to messages. yes, you will win the case with paypal if seller cant provide tracking or if they just dont respond. BUT, you dont get money back unless he have money in his paypal. paypal cant go digging in ppls bank accounts just to get your money back. and if the person in question is really a scammer, he would have already emptied his paypal account.

i know this because i was scammed for 3k not long ago, won the paypal claim, but couldnt get money back from them. luckily, i used a cc thru paypal so my cc company investigated, found it was fruad and refunded me 2500. the other 500 i never got back because i used funds from paypal.

 

oh yeah, one more thing about paypal, if you read the user agreement, they mainly only cover stuff that was thru ebay. there is LITTLE to NO buyer protection if transaction was outside of ebay.

Also little to no SELLER protection either. Some little 16 year old purchased an item of mine outside of eBay, and sent it back because he decided it was too much money for him to spend. He filed a chargeback and within days my paypal account was negative.

Paypal = never again.

 

LARGE MONEY TRANSACTION SUCK EITHER WAY
THROUGH PAYPAL IF SOMETHING HAPPENS YOU CAN GET SCREWED
AND IF YOU SEND THE PERSON CASH AND THEY DON'T MAIL IT YOUR SCREWED
CHECK YOU CAN CANCEL BUT THERE IS A WAY TO GET AROUND THAT

MAKES ME LOOSE FAITH IN PEOPLE
AND LIMITS MY MUGEN PURCHASES

 

best way to do business is to have trusted friends throughout the us and canada. send payment to your friend and have them do all the buying and shipping. takes alot of time but better off that way.

In my situation, there was no way around it. The kid simply changed his mind, and having a friend in his area would not have helped me one bit.

It's crazy I JUST got a phone call last week about hung pham scamming someone, and I come on honda-tech and read this. I hope he pays for what he's done. Using your reputation to take peoples' money is
