I cant argue with that. I have always driven front wheel drive cars and i know that i better than most and i dont want to switch to RWD and have to learn how to drive again and be a average driver again.

This is the exact reason I made this thread. This is why I like function>form. It`s about what you like, what you drive, and the reason your fender is rusted. You make money to spend on the motor. Not the body.

This is a car that would make it into the squad. You care more about the motor than the way it looks.

Ok, I wanted to chime in on this because it has always been something that has irked me about both sides of the function>forum spectrum. You guys are building your cars for a purpose (autox, drag, drift, etc.) but who are you to say the "Parking lot Queens" were not purpose built as well??? I mean maybe the "event" that appealed to some of the people building the hard-park cars is just that, to hard-park or win shows. To me it's really idiotic to point the finger at any car and say hey, "that wasn't built for a reason" because if this was true the car would not exist. I appreciate all ends of this spectrum of car builders, Sure there are things I don't like about some of the cars that are built on this forum, but until I am giving him/her money out of my pocket to build a car I am not going to tell them what to do to THEIR car. Also, I believe someone made a statement about the amount of money some of these guys spend on their cars and how that amount of money should not be spent on Honda's. To me the logic of thinking behind that statement is very flawed. I know myself I would spend 50k on my car if I had that kind of money. I mean car's are my passion and the Honda make happens to be what appeals to me so why not. Most people that talk sh*t on car's with 50k invested in them are just hating cause they wish they had that kind of money.(not saying that's the case for whoever made the statement just saying in general) So before you go bashing on "parking lot queens" maybe you should think about the fact that the car could have been built for just that reason.

Well, best of luck with this thread gentleman I hope it works out for you!

With real parts function follows/mimics form. You can spend money and have quality parts that perform. You are limiting yourself to people that are broke that want to go fast. I have 1000s of dollars in Mugen parts, yet have tons of money in suspension and brakes and an all motor build. There are many of us that do both. By having a junk car with a junk motor and quoting Function over form just leads me to believe you can't afford "nice" parts.

That's good you have 1000's in Mugen parts and money in brakes, suspension, and motor. We don't want junk cars but we don't have to money or the dersire to always have a showcar ready car that can go 40-120 faster than anyone at your local wal-mart parking lot. We can afford the nice parts but our cars would be slow. I would rather have a car that goes fast rather than spending $1000 on some mugen part. It's about personal preference, if you don't like it then that's cool. I just wanna say that anyone can join, from a lambo to a Kia rio, if what they care about is being performance>looks. That is what this is about.

I guess you missed the entire point about what I said and about building cars.
Quality parts will provide function while having good form. You obviously are too young or too stupid to understand anything with thought put into it. No one here with a Lamborghini or a Kia rio is going to post in this thread or take it seriously.

Alright so i geuss ill post my opinion, Lets see i would rather have a clean car that looks nice over having a fast car, why? Lets see my car (05 civic) d17 non vtec, ok so that means its slow right? yes its very slow. now a complete k24 swap all togther in my car is about 4k, now i know damn well i spend almost that into my car, IMO i don't want to go fast i had a h22 already and it ran 13.0 first time on the track, i was good with that time so i sold that and got my car now. so what im trying to get at is i would rather spend my money on making the apperance of the car look good then doin stuff to the motor because WE all know street racing gets you tickets and we all most of people do it, so i wouldn't want them tickets.

yeah which you can do with a stock car and nice tires. that doesn't cost more than like 500 bucks. has nothing to do with function over form. Any idiot that can afford engine mods to make their car "faster" can buy nice coilovers and better tires for the same money. You're argument is worthless.
