This is for people who build there cars for performance over looks. The people who buy sedans because it has 2 more doors and more room and weighs almost the same. I would like any make of car (Nissan, Honda, Volvo, IDC) to be in this who likes there cars for the function over what it looks like. Also I would love to make this a squad. But for now it's just a discussion/pic thread.

Duuuudee!!! PM kevin1981, he is your man. Maybe make him a moderator cause he's looking for accceptance in any squad. He even has function>form in his sig. I can guarentee he will post pics of his slammed/moderate lowered/vsm ej w/ jdm b18c (gsr) that he plans on racing. His specialty is suspension and has been in the game since the start of honda-tech.

Okay i will start out. I want to start out by saying i am building this 94 Del sol Vtec and a 00 infiniti G20 and i am building both on a budget. The del sol is the fun car and the g20 is for work, rainy days, my 2 kids, and long trips.
I agree, these fast show cars is a waste of good parts.And as for all these non sports cars that are being modded is retarded. i work in cincinnati ohio at a shop called Zerolift autolab. All i ever see are a bunch of show cars that come in and get swapped just so they can pop their hoods at car shows. (there are exceptions)
This car is not fast by any means however it is purpose built. I backroad and road course race. I built this car to fit my needs and not everyone elses. All i have ever built or modded are parking lot queens and i am fed up with it and i am starting to head into a new direction. Here is my car that is function>Form.

But this car doesnt get driven unless it is seeing 9k on back roads/track. I beat the **** out of this car everytime i drive it. I can hang with high horsepower cars on back roads with out a problem.

This is what i wanted. You built a car to do what you wanted it to (drag), the looks are second on your list, behind performance.

 

^originaly it was for drag, then i got it pretty much trashed and made it into a backroad champ. Thanks by the way. I feel as if 99% of the cars on this site never get taken to their limits. there are a lot of non drivers out there and i am stoked to be on a tread that i hope will take off full of drivers and purpose built cars.

I am thinking of getting a new plate and i want it to say Showcar.

 

Lol. Yeah thats what I don't want this thread filled with. A bunch of slammed cars with $50,000 in the paint and body and the only piece of performance they put on is some stuff the make the engine bay clean. Those are waste of cars.

I personaly think that mine looks 10 times better and every time i drive my car it puts a smile on my face. I bet this guy cant say the same.

In all honesty whats going to turn more heads on the street.

I cant tell you how many older people give me thumbs up or talk to me about my car at gas stations.
