how can the shop possibly screw up switching it to a single speed?

and the better question is, why aren't you doing it yourself, son?

hey guys, is there a good website where I can just learn some basic info about fixed gear? just like, terms and stuff. I'm not to clear on all the terminology. I really want to build a fixed gear, but I'm thinking maybe I should just go to a bike shop and buy something already built. I don't even know what size frame I would need or anything. Could anyone help me out?

Have been checking craigslist, but nothing. local store only builds custom bikes, from around $700+

For the second time I went there, they ordered the wrong parts. They tore my bike down, only to realize the rear hub was the opposite, so the cassette wouldn't mate properly. So I just said f*ck it, I ll stick with Honda-Tech.

Not doing it myself as lack of time-last semester at Univ. so weighed down with school.

Retail on a pista is $579 plus you have to buy pedals/clips/straps
