fixed gear bicycle
risers are only functional if you have a weak core and your back hurts after rides or even worse, your wrists or hands hurt because you're putting too much weight on them because of your weak core.
bullhorns are great for climbing, they let you get a ton of leverage. they are also nice on the street because you don't have to drop your body as low so you have a bit more visibility.
track drops are rad, but i don't ride in the drops on the street much because my back is flat and nobody can see me; i don't feel like dying.
oh... and plug your damn bars.

much more discussion than i anticipated. hehe
btw, i love drops. they look proper and function well for aero. after throwing on the risers, i find them very comfortable as far as body positioning.

The front wheel does not fit on at all. In the last picture it looks like the leg on the left was bent in. Sent an email to BikesDirect.
EDIT: It looks like there was a black plastic piece that was supposed to say in the dropouts to prevent this, but when I had opened the box it was just floating around in there. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Did you ever get the fork Dave??

Still waiting on it. I've been away from a computer for a week (driving from NY to Vegas, now in San Diego). I don't think I've gotten any packages at home from them so I'm planning on giving them a call either tomorrow or Friday to see whats up.

jus went back to drops and i liked em for sprinting. but when riding the tops my hands (not my wrists) would get sore. and when i was in the drops for a long period of time my neck would hurt from looking up.
but i personally love bulhorns. they give me different variations for hand placements.
sorry to the riser lovers to me the only thing there good for is tricks.

Looking in the pic,
the distance from the top of the seat to where the pedal would be >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t; standover height
I have a little slack at full extension sitting down... I think the frame may be a little small. I have a 56cm, my roommate has a 58cm track bike and it's a better fit. Plus taller bikes look better...
