As for the wheel, I like it too, but you should see my rear ROTA disc, you'll most def. not like that hehe

so i found this bike by a dumpster, its a mongoose switchback, i wanna convert it to a single speed cruiser so far i have stripped it down. i wanna get new bars, seat and paint it. can you guys point me to a website that has cool parts and stuff. i also need help with conversion parts. thanks

pista ? that frame jus sits on my wall as a art piece right now. ive been bike less for almost 3 weeks now. been waiting for my new frame to come in...

lol ive had my pista, a 05 ftp (sold local), and a 08 ftp (sold to a friend who sold it to someone on here haha). but my new frame isnt anything that hasnt already been seen here. =OP

I have 48x16, no hills around here, but would like something a little shorter. What can you guys recommend?

48x16 works for me.. but the 1 skid patch doesnt work with my knees.. YAY for a front brake

j, skid patches have nothing to do with the force you're applying to the pedals. it just means that you'll be stopping the tire at a certain spot at the given angle your feet are in at the time. you can have a gearing like 42:21 which is really short and still have only 1 skid patch since that's where the spot on the tire will be at 9 and 3 on every rotation or you can have a tall gear like a 52:11 and have like 11 places where the tire will stop at that gearing.

 

I understand what you meant Marc (I'm assuming)... But perhaps spock_rocker meant that the gearing is tall which requires more force to skid instead of it being harder bc of the 1 skid patch.
