I've been scouring the interwebs and I'm looking for some advice on a catback. I want a clean muffler/tip. A rolled edge (double or single is fine) w/ resonator. I saw a Megan that fit the bill...but I want to make sure I'm not getting a POS.

Started tearing apart my LS motor this weekend. There is nice fresh oil in it which is a good sign. The cams look nice and smooth, no sludge buildup, and no obvious oil on the valves downstream from the valve seals. It's normal to have a little buildup of blackish material in the intake manifold and throttle body with a 110k mile motor right?
The only negative I discovered is one of the tabs on the block where the bellhousing bolts to the block was broken off or cracked at one time and re-welded. It looks like a nice solid weld and then ground down smooth to look almost stock. That isn't something I should be too worried about right?

I have had a WS muffler with Kteller 2.5 piping on mine for years and have been happy with it. The next one I think I will go with is a Hytech twin loop

That looks great! Makes me happy to see people bringing these cars back and not destroying them.
There were so many around I think they are taken for granted, although now its getting harder and harder to find a clean one. I imagine in 10 years there will not be many left this clean and unmolested.
