((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
Im always here man. Matter fact I think I'm the #2 poster in this thread according to the stats lol. I miss some of the guys not talking some tech. This just became the post your ride thread. Theres no tech talk or nothing, so many sick EGs out there and the owners don't even really post in here
Actually thought it'd be kool to see something new (a vid) vs still pics. But I've been wrong a time or 2 in life.
I'll get some pics today (you know, like back in the mid 90s) and post 'em up.
-- And to the people complaining about towhooks - that's where the green guys have taken the scene - it IS a part of the movement now. What we were doing in the 90s - the things we THOOUGHT were kool were no different. It's the natural progression of things. I'm 31 and have been doing this longer than most of you - but I'm never suprised to see what the younger crew can do. I welcome it. We can all co-exist.
On the OG subject - this chassis is not even old enough to have "OG" status - but I do understand what you guys mean - you mean the OG tuners - and that's fair.
This chassis has to surivive a lot more years bc IT'S considered OG (and it will) - but I agree it's always kool to see what the OG tuners are doing w/ their EGs.4 wheels down,

Not gonna reply to the entire rant but when I say OG you guys know what I mean. Dude had a Blair witch for sale vid and got called on it. Other than that there's some nice cars on this page. WhiteSlips is always a gave and that grey eg does work.
Saul Good Tum...
Your reputation precedes you - honored to even dialogue with ya kid, on the real. My rep precedes me as well
. And when I say OG - I mean OG : a real OG pushes OG whips (ever seen a OG pimp in anything other than a old caddy? How about a OG gangster in anything than a 65 Lincoln with suicide doors). But that's my raggedy *** opinion - who asked me? Nobody.
The problem with people is that people catch on to coattails and don't know their roots. "Ohhh - I saw a EG, I WANT ONE." Nothing wrong with that - just make sure you guys get back to your roots. Know WHY it exists and HOW it came to pass. That's really the only way to have a truly original car/idea anymore and it makes things come full circle for you. Every1 knows what a Neon Srt4 is, and no1 knows what a Dodge Spirit RT is, or an Omni GLH... THE ROOTS - WHAT MADE IT POSSIBLE is lost. SAD really, and that's the diff between a "car guy" and somebody who can read the magazines and swipe a credit card. TELL THE STORY RIGHT. REAL OGs are dying off... and no offense, if we had to pick a EG or Honda to put in a time capsule to show future generations what a Honda is - what it stood for there isn't much to choose from. Just be sure to tell the story accurately - for the "new" guys not even old enough to drive yet all they have to see is us - let's just make sure we tell the story right. The HOTTEST EG from my "era" would be considered RICE today... the HOTTEST EG in this thread will be RICE in 5 years (or less, things are moving much faster these days). A bolt-on single-cam Si with fresh paint in 20 years is gonna CRUSH the k-swapped contraption next to it - that's the diff between a TREND and the real deal. Or, if they aren't careful... a 1977 "OG" 1st Gen with faded paint and a RayJay turbo might crush them both.

I could leave it as it sits and call it done - I crush everywhere I go and it's in rat-rod form. Or I can "finish" it and crush harder. But alas, I'm getting old - hardly see anything anymore that makes me wanna play with cars... kids try to hard these days - haha. I'm sure you can agree.
Again - AWESOME stuff here. Back to lurking... that's what I do best. Ignore me - I'm just an old man who's had his day many moons ago. Apologize to all you great tuners with amazing vision and creativity for the thread-jack. One.

To keep it on topic : One of the many in my stable. RHD 93 DX - nothing special... they're "JUST" cars to me. I like thinking about it that way - reminds me that I am not as important as I think I am - that's a good place to sit IMO.

No prob budd I dont trip off of anything on h-t. Looking good hatchy I like the simple own look to your car.. Is it swapped???
^^ Ultimate gentleman. Hard to find these days. Others should take notes.
The EG: Yes it has a stock compression B16 w/ a 125 shot wet, heater, FJO mini-controller, etc. Not a rocketship by any means - but I can occasionally leave late for the grocery store and get there before they close.
The EB2 (1st gen) Civic : has the eb2 block (1.2l). Shot-peened Accord (cvcc) rods (1.3l rods) and 1.3 style custom slugs. Rayjay turbo (draw-thru carb setup). I can get groceries pretty quickly in that guy as well if need be (not "big" power, but as you can imagine it's very light). All pointless since the speed limit is still stuck on a stick beside the road. I have other stuff to get my drag-jollies in though. (don't let the post-count fool you - I am an OG - LOL)

You guys have built an amazing thread here. So many cars, so little time. I wish I could buy them all and drive a diff EG everyday
I'll be stealing a few concepts from you guys. Remem guys... that's okay to do (get ideas/inspiration from others), just make sure that when you execute it... you make it your own.
You wanna be different, cruise other makes/model forums - f*ck hop on a BIG RIG forum... find their OLDEST OUTDATED mod and make it work for your hatch... and display it here and every1 will think you're a genius. INSTANT celebrity. If you take a Honda trend and put it on a Honda, you're "another Joe" w/ a Honda. But imagine taking a quad trend - an airplane trend - a snowmobile trend and making it translate here where it's never been seen. DON'T JUST LET YOUR INSPIRATION COME FROM CARS. Inspiration is all around you. Different is amazing - I assure you.
Be safe guys...
