((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
Got a problem here. I have OCD, I also like building models. Good and bad mix.
Hasegawa models have a plastic EG model (pretty sure most of you know this). Well at first glance the model looks fine, but to me its not. I think the rear side window is goofy (top picture), so I made some adjustments to the lower edge (last 2 pictures). The problem is that I have been staring at it for so long that I am second guessing my work. So who better to ask than the owners themselves. Did I improve it? Or make it worse? Also do you guys think that I should curve down the rear portion of the roof more?

What headlights/bulbs is everyone running if they want to get some more visibility? My head light distance is pretty rough and I'll attempt to adjust that as well. I just don't want some ricer blue bulbs or fake HIDs. Looking to truly improve the light output.
Thanks,
Steve

I've wondered the same thing. My headlights barely go a car length in front of the car. I've adjusted them over and over and over and it just comes down to the fact that they don't have enough brightness. I don't have the $ for a retrofit HID system, but don't want to have any ricey crap either. One thing I've thought about doing is aiming them way down and just driving around on the high beams.
Thought about that as well, until I hit a bump in the road and blind the guy in front of me.

How much are retro-fits? Are they a major pita to do? (Are they DIY or can you buy them done?)
Steve
I've ran sylvania silverstars in the past- great light out put, aren't ricer blue, and don't blind others- but produce much more light!
here is a retrofit kit. http://www.retrosolutionsllc.com/ser...TOR-HID/Detail
buddy of mine bought a set of eg headlights pre-fitted with tsx projectors into a clear lensed black housing set of headlights for like 250$. imho he got a really good deal and the quality of light produced outweighs the fact that he lost his high beams.
marcin it was LVD!
jdmsoles_ the suspension will hold a semi truck lol thats the ride hieght for the back daily i just drove the car up 2 hrs slapped the big slicks on and had to jack up the front to clear the slicks and i didnt care to raise the back. the rear did not squat tho it looks it in the pic its i just drive dumped all the time!

I'm using Sylvania Silverstar Ultra. Visibility was much better than the Stanleys, but they're 2 years old now and aren't as bright as they used to be.

Thats what Im doing, one of my headlights is brighter than the other so I use the highbeams and they seem to be about the same and its really not high. I haven't gotten flashed by anyone yet. Plus it has the light on the dash so I remember to turn them off. Why is it that when you have the lights on or corners theres no beeping sound made to remind you when you open the door? Often I drive with my headlights during the day and I leave them on.

Finally pieced together my exhaust again. Skunk2 pipe, RS*R Exmag B-pipe, 5zigen axle back. Sounds pretty gravy!

One for fun.

I was surprised how this muffler was designed. It's straight-through, but it's not your conventional perforated core design. It has a solid core that has a gap near the inlet to let exhaust gas into the muffler material that way. I made a diagram, but I'll be posting it in the 5zigen thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...2348833&page=8

Roomate took this one. We just use our little cheap cameras and as you can see I'm a noob at editing.

I am missing my car
it has been waiting for a turbo for over 2 months.........dont buy any thing from peak boost.
On another note I decided to start posting my house renovation, I am alomst done but doing a kind of build thread. Check out the link in my sig. Figured I would tell people since this and the LS turbo thread are the only ones I regularly post in lol
