No, nothing new; nothing pic worthy. I just had some free time and have been wanting to do it for a while. I'm happy I did because before I started I raised it up about 1/4" at each corner. It rides so much better now.

I'm surprised at the weight. It comes in only 30lbs heavier than a friend's EF hatch.

 

I put my hatch on a scale with me in it and it read 2600 lbs, it's a 94 Si with ABS but I have no A/C, but it still seems too high, I only weigh 156 lbs, so my hatch weighs 2444 lbs? Still seems way too heavy since the curb on it is about 2330. Maybe the scale was off, I hope it was. It has a B16 so it weighs a little more than stock, but still...

I'm going to the track (1/4 mile track unfortunately) on the 24th and I'm going to gut my interior, and what I will remove will reduce around 100-120 lbs. So I'll gain one tenth woo hoo!

 

Thats what Im aiming for. I personally have only ridden in a GSR powered hatch once and the driver didnt even get on it but it seemed like the engine wasn't going hard to get to where it needed to be. Im currently looking for a JDM ITR tranny in hopes that the LSD and 4.7FD (in addition to the shorter gears) help highlight some of the attributes I want.

 

I got a b18c (gsr) w/ a b16a tranny, it slams thru gears pretty quick. The thing that really sucks tho is highway driving lol. Cruising on the highway I'm about at 4500rpm, with my gsr trans it was only at 3000rpm.

 

You have one of the nicest black hatches I've ever seen, the wheels are the right size and it goes well with the black. What kind of spoiler and back seats are those?

Going to try and get me some OEM corners, ambers don't look so good on there and I can't afford to pay $100 for JDM corners either lol. Don't mind the hood as its also not going to be there for much longer.... Camera is a D700.

 

when i put my car on a scale it was 2040 with a full tank of gas and thats with a full type r swap and 5 lug

 

My car was 2125 with a half tank, full leather, a/c, powersteering, stock sound deadening, spare, jack, tools and a floor jack haha. I figure without all that crap in there it would be right at 2000.

Its also not my camera, its my sisters. I have no idea how to adjust shutter speed, exposure, and all that good stuff lol. I somehow managed to make it shoot something haha.

Purple wow lol. Been seeing that kind of stuff lately, like pink cars too lol. Its so pimp its almost girly haha. Looks good though, you know its going to be hot when done. Hard to picture a purple hatch lol. What wheels are those on your old hatch? Look like polished VXs with the insides painted black.They look nice!

 

lol the purple hatch was a friends "started" project(basically a stripped painted shell, it was his dream to paint a car this color).. I picked it up and plan to finish it! My old wheels were polished HX's and the inner portions painted metallic grey.. LOVED them!!

 

I completely overlooked highway driving. Im also just debating on throwing a LSD in my s80 and calling it a day. Either way some type of transmission mod is getting done.

ps: if you guys were serious about torque you'd go turbo d16 with a properly sized turbo
