I never understood why Honda painted the outer grills on 94-95's whenever I see a hatch with them body color I think it looks like a cheap repaint where they didnt mask off. just my opinion though.

Even when I bought a new bumper for my black car I told them they would be buying me a new bumper if they did not mask off the grills when they painted it lol

I had a dream my hatch was stolen last night. First time I've had that one. Guess having the Spoon mirrors and duckbill doesn't make it easy to leave the car outside the movie theater anymore.

 

Did both cars have the exact same setup? I found that with ABS, you can use your brakes to their FULL potential and shorten your braking distance. Without ABS, you have to be more conservative so you dont run the risk of locking up your brakes and creating flat spots on your tires, meaning longer braking distance. It's all depends on you though.

 

More painted vents looking great. C'mon, someone try and convince me with some pics of black ones.

 

it just looks funny w/them being painted. for any 92-00 civic hands down they have to be black for me. it provides just enough contrast.

good luck on the spoon duckbill fitment! I think i had a dream my hatch was stolen, was so sad. since then every time i go to the movies i cant wait to go outside to see if shes still there
on the painted/non painted topic, i just chose fogs!! but if i had to go one way, it would depend on the color, with white, i would go non painted, but blue or yellow i would go painted. don't know why though!

i personally prefer the black over the color matched as well. i'm running fogs so it doesn't matter, however, i was debating going back to a non-foglight look (buy a new bumper) and perhaps the J's CF air duct....(that would definately match black grills better).

I'm going to put my masking skills to the test tomorrow. You guys sold me. If there was one car that sold me on black vents it was WhiteSlips' when it had no foglights. I'm going to convert the rear bumper to 92-93 spec also.

 

Damn this car has so much Spoon.... Where's the cereal?!?!?!?! Hey you have 16" SW388? 4x114.3?

 

My 94 DX with painted side vents. I had a 92, but it was grey, so I couldn't really tell. I think both ways can be pulled off if done right.
