Sorry about the delay for those waiting for pics

The speaker pods are in perfect condition on the outside....as you can see in the pics the one has the mounting portion broken. All you would need is a large washer or cover it ...It will still hold just fine and can't be seen when mounted.

alternator question. i finally got the alternator loose and off the bracket. now theres not enough room to get the damn thing out. i've got a 4" window beetween the brake booster and intake manifold and it wont fit threw. cant go down because i have the same issue between the block and driver side axle. anybody ever ran into this problem. i've owned a total of 4 ef's in my life and have never ran into an issue like this with the alternator

Really? I had to remove the drivers axle from the trans to remove the alternator when working on any of my EF's. I tried everything but never found any other way.

I'm assuming you have a b-series swap of some sort, I have the same problem in my hatch. Easiest way to swap them for me (I've had to do it 4-5 times in the last 2 yrs ), is to move the master cylinder, just un-bolt it, and VERY gently move it up towards the intake manifold and that will create enough room to pull that big bad alternator out. Just watch those hard lines!

Blue interior pwns me too...so i took that **** out and put it in the basement!

Should I boost my stock DOHC ZC with only head studs and a thicker gasket, or spend the time and build an A6 for boost? Im leaning towards building an A6, but I don't know if the results would net that much more hp....any suggestions?

boost the A6, look at Matt's wagon. Stco A6 boosted, was running 13's on street tires.
If you build it rite, you have alot more to play with.

My plans for this year is to swap in a A6 and boost it, wile keeping my AC.

remove the master cylinder thats what i do it kinda makes a mess but as long as u dont let the master leak empty u dont need to bleed anything again.
