I'm gonna go out on a limb with an honest opinion here. I think Dane Cook is way over-rated. His comedy seems to spread like a virus by word of mouth via the MTV generation. Hes gotten ridiculously popular off nothing more then the same jokes teenagers have been making for years. In fact, I think even HE is surprised at his random success. Don't get me wrong, he's pretty funny, but not to the extent most people say he is.

Hes funny because hes so random, and 99% of things he talks about are things i think about/can relate to, so for that reason, i like him

He may be overrated, i dunno. All I know is that I watch videos of his comedy acts cuz I crack up...not cuz its cool or cuz I wanna be in on it. Plus, im probably contributing to this inflation you speak of by passin everything I watch on to my friends! Lol!

Maybe thats what it is...the randomness. Like I said its not that hes "un-funny"(if thats even a word?) its just not my thing. Like you said he reminds me of some ADD kid, who personally drive me nuts when its ADHD. Just an opinion though.
