I'd stay away from the ebay S.S.s...I had one in the hatch and it made EVERY gear grind like a **** unless I shifted to neutral, waited and then shifted to the next gear. other people have had them break in the middle of a shift too(one case recently was in the 92-00 civic forum).

For ebay, I typically only buy name brand parts(except for the headlights I bought), and have never had a problem. I'd reccomend just getting the ES shifter bushings and a weighted shift **** like the skunk2.

Not sure when you were gonna come out here for that hood, but I could easily meet you up at Caitlin's place in Phoenix. I was really only asking so I knew if I should bother de-greasing it at the moment and soldering the little sensor back to the harness that popped off. Looks like I'll be doing that on Saturday

I am function over form totally so if it works its good for me.. I had one on my crx and it cost me 17 bucks and was great, but can't pick a seller from all the ones on ebay, I combined that purchase with other parts so thats why it was so cheap..

These are some options I have just seen. </TD></TR></TABLE>

honestly, shifters are cheap enough even from "brand name" retailers that its not even worth it to go to ebay for one. I understand ure function over form, but this is not a style of wheels at hand, might as well spend a little more just for a peace of mind

http://www.inlinefour.com

had some nice deals on short shifters not too long ago, might still have em

If I get the set, would anyone be interested in a Suspension techniques 19mm front swaybar? I know a guy selling a set(front and rear) for only 100 with all the bushings/brackets. I'll only need the rear so I'll be reselling the front.

I don't live all that far from Caitlin, so you just say the word either way and I'll have a tranny for you

In many forms of racing, it is desirable to have the shifter as close to the wheel as possible so your hands are on the wheel as much as possible

well in a del sol, the longer shifter doesn't matter much since the stock shifter is close enough to the steering wheel. of course in any other typical Honda, they would make a difference.

well not just that,it raises the height of the shifter to be almost parallel to the steering wheel,so u barely have to move ur hand away from the wheel to shift.

just check out a video from the inside of a rally car and you'll see the diffirence

yeah i saw the video, but its still not needed in a sol. you can touch the side of your steering wheel and the shifter with your right hand. if you can't, well, your hands are too small .. the distance from the steering wheel to the shifter isn't much in a sol.

well yeah, but u know,if ure strapped up in a racing seat, with a suit and a helmet,a racing harness,on a road where one mistake could possibly send you over a cliff,I think even that little bit of distance matters
