a lot, you cant go for the "dumped" look w/ a k...

and sorry james, but i think the b16b is one of the biggest wastes of time... not enough torque or power for the price... id just save up for the b18c if i were you

Between the 3, the B16B is the cheapest (around 3k) - K20a (3.5k). The most expensive swap here is the B18C (4k).

It's a different market here.

Well, he's an engineer, if he can put a jet engine together he can do a k swap. But the K's need so many different little things to work that the price automatically doubles.

mounts, fuel rail, axles, harness kit, ecu retune, and I'm by far no expert but I think you need to cut a bigger hole for the shift linkage. Those parts arn't free and thats alot of labor. But it's still an option, he's thinking of sponsoring it to promote his shop. I got lots of time ahead of me.

At this point int time you are better off buying a car with a K already in it... right now K swap is 10K...and people are selling cars with K's and goodies for like 10-15...when the cars themselves are worth at least 6K... So I'm not going to build my B16...its good as is...just gonna worry about other areas for now...remeber the B18 ITR swap was like $5500 - $6000 for the swap plus the **** u need about 3 years ago...now they are like $4000 I figure just wait...

Thanks for the info bro, but I must remind you all, here is a different market. For example, I bought my car for 12,800 euro 2 years ago, it is now worth approx 14,500 to 15,000 euro. If a car here has a swapped engine done properly, value goes up again. So it's no waste of money.

And I can't wait, head gasket is toast, car isn't running. I need it running during the summer.
