ok... umm how can i explain myself with this one... well i was always intrested in the d series turbo just cuz they are cheaper if they blow up so im not just sitting there like a derka der if i blow up a motor.... i def do want more power but i dont care for to much wich is another reason why im so intrested in the d series turbo... the reason why i want to k series turbo in the end is just if i have nothing better to do with it, and is not at all in my to do list... and i honestly think i will have the most fun out of a d series turbo, i just hear alot about how its just a waste to do that set up which is why i was askin you people about which swap i should go with</TD></TR></TABLE>

dseries turbo is definetly a great bang for the buck, and through deals and used parts, you can do it for very cheap. Few things you have to keep in mind though, are you or ur friends capable of doing the work yourself? or are u willing to take the time to learn? sure a d-series is much cheaper, but are u capable of swapping it out, taking apart ur old motor if you need to,do u have a garage to store all this? you always have to factor in the little disadvantages some people have then others. Im not tryin to sway you away from ur idea here,i just want you to really consider all of ur options and think whats best for you. I see people online say all the time,"this can handle this much boost all day",or "its soo cheap!" "i did the whole kit for less than a 1000!" "u can make 250whp with 7 psi!!"

Factor in all the things that can go wrong too, consider ur skill and budget, dont just look at the stuff u see online.

Im thinking a good rule of thumb if the car is also a dd is to have enough cash to get another motor if you need it, or better yert another backup motor.

Rocky Balboa was too predictable from the start. I wish ihad seen the matinee version and saved 2 bucks But some of the quotes were still good

ohh if i dont know exactly how to do something 90% of the time i wont, cuz im to afraid ill expletive my sol up ... but i do have friends that just got done dropping a d15b into his civic and another friend that will be helping knows how to do that swap with his eyes closed, and we will be doing it in a two bay garage... and im always afraid my car is fucked up so i doubt i will overboost it once i get the turbo

Its inevitable. But you become detached alot quicker if it gets stolen or wrecked. I guess my sol would be a different story if i lived in cali too where i wouldnt have to think about the sand and mag-chloride all over the roads in winter too.

lol, yea serioucly i hate when they sand the roads in my area... its funny that you bring up the thought about your car gettin wrecked, one of my friends recently wrecked his teg, and before he was thinking of selling it, and now after he wrecked it, he wants to tune it so much more now... but yea if i wrecked my sol i think i wouldnt want it as much or just wouldnt be able to get it back on the road, cuz theirs been times that i drive it and just fall back in love with it, for almost no reason

In my experience cars are never the same after the frame has been tweaked. Hence why i have a shell in my yard, and i started over with another sol: so far for the (more expensive) better i think.

Someone somewhere said "the S2k is the nice girl you bring home to your parents. The Sol is the wild chick your hittin on the side."
and for some reason i think that goes along with your observation to sort of explain it, if ya know what i mean.

lol, i love that saying i say it all the time, and i know what you mean... you just cant beat how a car feels if you love it enough

its like how i love my car not having p/s... and my friends will hit a turn with it and they can not understand how i can hit and exit corners the way i do, with the whole telling your tires which way to point
