shame we didn't get it and more engineering went into the design.

Yep that would of probably boosted the del sol sale if they had put more work in the transtop. Beside Del Sol were made with too many defects especially the lower models like the 93 with leakage although they did fix it later on.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I have a few threads I F5, but browsing this site in general makes me sad. *Cue good 'ol days rhetoric*

I don't agree fully here. True, some poeple have issues but that is usually down to poor or total lack of maintenance. You would expect an engine to have issues if the oil wasnt changed or serviced periodically etc. and this is the same thing - the roof is a complex mechanical assembly at the end of the day and hence requires servicing and maintenance. I and many many many other people have never had issues. You always hear of the breakages on forums and not of the 'working fine brigade' (as with most things).

I do agree however that the inherent design is far more complicated than it needs to be and I'm sure that with another few hundred thousand pounds of development by Honda in the early 90's it could have been improved.

P.S the tilter cogs are plastic for a reason. They are the first component that breaks if there is an issue - think of them like a fuse to prevent other, more expensive components being damaged. They are cheap, and very easy to replace. Do not EVER replace them with metal aftermarket versions!!!

Greetings from Lithuania!
Just wanted to introduce my sol:

Nothing special, just a stock B16A2 with Tein S-Tech springs (a bit dissapointed ) and a Vibrant muffler.. Got a lot of big future plans for it, but for now sol's taking a winters nap
P.S Picked up genuine JDM Volk Racing forged wheels the other day, gonna get 'em resurrected in a paint shop until spring:

And also got this:

Oh and also hope to go lower.. Wayyyy lower...
So that's it for now!

Just the rears obviously since they attach to the rear bumper, but not the front. They have a rounded front design which prevents the front flaps. I think they look better this way.

Dont have to if you tap rod a little furder. $40+ shipping for spacer is too much vs $6-$7 die that will last forever.
