The screws just bulge the block-off. They don't tap into the body.

Well there she is.
Picked this up over the summer. First car...paid for in my own hard earned cash.

S body with a D16 swap...no performance mods really as of yet save for ebay header/muffler done by previous owner. At least it runs great (swap wasn't butchered...)

plans for a sub enclosure right behind the seat.
Wheels are 80's VW...girlfriend's dad had piles of them sitting around, and they look way better than the stock plastic-covered-rusty-steel garbage that the stock S ones are.

Also swapped S for Si seats with my friend that has a sol...he wanted mine I guess... Going for the whole red on black/grey theme here.

Critique?
Any tips on cracking vinyl door panels? Time to re-wrap?

You'll regret that sub enclosure. Those lock boxes are great storage! Nice pick up though. I also got mine at the end of summer and I love it!

Got some wheels for the Delly.

16" Dayton hehe, I got them for a crackhead price. I just need to get some smaller tires for them now. They have a slightly mean offset

picked it up for 3k (way to freakin much) thought it was cleaner then it really was. so far iv replaced the dizzy cap, rotor button, iginition coil, plugs and wires, air filter, fuel filter, pcv valve, and done 3 oil changes. using mobil1 10w30. needs new valve seals, body work, glove box. has aftermarket header, test pipe, and exhaust. i think the exhaust is a cheap ebay one. iv ordered an aem sri. trying to locate a decent set of jdm lower fogs, mudguards and ep3 seats. comments and advice welcome

also anybody know how i can become a member of DSOC?

I never use my lock boxes though...I hate having _anything_ sliding around when i'm driving. And I need the bass. ^_^

And i'm going for 2 12's maybe.

oh forgot to mention....but I picked it up for 3k. Small rust patch on rear quarter panel.
And now she's giving me a bit of clickitty as I turn....CV shaft boot torn...i think?

This was my set up in my old del sol. Dont mind the looks I dont have a pic of when I finished it.
It is one 10in and it was more then enough. plus compentents in front and 6.5s in the rear all
off the 4 channel amp. (had amps in the trunk but they kept over heating.

i didnt realize it had rust until a week later. i was highly disappointed. whats just as bad is the guy said it had recently had a paint job. looks like they painted over the it in alot of places. tbh i was in a hurry to buy a car because the truck i was driving took a crap. it runs though so i cant complain.

Just curious to know how much you guys bought your del Sol for?

1st del Sol I payed $1000. It was good but later I found out that it was a rust bucket so I sold it and got another shell.

2nd del Sol I bought from a friend for $500. Was good to me B swapped it but sold it after a while due to stupidity and money issues.

3rd and current del Sol I bought for $550 from some guy and I'm keeping it

I paid $4300 for my '97 VTEC. 150k miles and it was the cleanest one I'd seen in nine months of searching. I have no regrets about paying that price.

Paid $3200 for my '97 S with 130K on the clock. I don't regret it at all.
