I have these sitting in my house for the longest time, but don't think I'm going to put them in either, looks pretty good for furniture.

Dont you have stock del sol seats?

EP3 seats won't fit unless you custom fabricate the rails.

Woohoo. Wired up my city lights and rewired my corners.

Before:

Corner lamps wired as marker lights and signals; City light unwired.

After:

Corner lamps wired as signals; City lights wired as markers.

Headlights / Foglights on.

Just finished the entire build. Took right at 1 year to finish. Glad to get this thing off of jack stands and in and out of the garage under its own power.

no sirree i have these red cloth bucket seats, they're faded and the cloth catches stuff on them and i don't like them too much. i was sort of looking at s2000 seats too. there was a pretty good write up somewhere on how to put those seats in.

The best seats would be the stock 96-97 seats from a del sol, ultra rare to find in the lower main land.

They have a high durable cloth material.

I was pretty lucky to find my del sol with a full 97 interior.

Hey guys need some help/opinions...

So I did a compression test in my sol today and dunno what to think. Its a 93 with 2nd gen b16a swapped. Compression read this first time 150 150 150 150. What is normal psi for these motors?? Do you guys think the rings are fine? I was told by a reputable local honda man and GREAT tuner that its nothing to worry about, cause theyre all dead on 150psi.

Any insight?

You're right but I see them just like a nice black car. Sure, it looks good but only right after you clean it.

Cool thanks for the info man..

anyone else have any insight?

I am planning to just boost this stock motor set up for now, im still not sure if i wanna dump a **** ton of $$$ into the car yet.

Any tips on parts or anything? I was planning on something like this...

Peakboost kit w/ ramhorn manifold
rc 750 or higher injectors (saturated) no resistor box needed.
G.E. Headstuds w/ OEM headgasket, and other misc gaskets and seals. (oil pump and water pump)
new tranny and clutch
some after market fuel rail with fpr and gauge
GSR cams with AEM tru time cam gears new OEM timing belt

and possibly aftermarket intake manifold.. Edelbrock or skunk2

My goals are 260whp. on less than 9lbs.

This is just a basic set up. Most parts except gaskets, and headstuds will most likely be used cause its cheaper, sound like a decent set up?

You wont need Headstuds, rail, fpr or cam gears for that. I made 311whp on just 10psi with a peakboost kit, bone stock 160,000 mile motor!

-definitely recommend the peakboost kit. the ramhorn is good even though most go with the topmount now. i had one back it the day and it was the ****. Ken does great work

-750cc should be plenty and I made up to 400whp on them and still had room to go. However not a lot of people buy them now since 1000s or 1200s aren't much more and figure if they ever want to go more boost/make more power for whatever set up they don't have to buy another set

-GE Headstuds are good and really liked them on the few motors i put together recently. I would go with a GE headgasket too if I was doing a serious build with oversized pistons and what not. OEM will be fine. however I highly recommend you buy headstuds new and do not get used ones. although it may work I'd be really nervous about them if i really started pushing the motor. for peace of mind I'd just go with new.

-oil and water pump a give. new t-belt too. oem for all

-GSR tranny has always treated me well but if you can get an ITR all the better. or put an lsd in the gsr. whatever can be done.

-highly recommend an 1:1 aftermarket FPR, like an aeromotive. It'll require a few fittings and make it worth getting an aftermarket rail, like BDL or GE.

-GSR cams yes, NO on the aem TRU SLIPS. stick to oem or I heard BDL is good.

all in all that should be a good set up and easily capable of 260whp. Those are ebay kit numbers (with a bit more boost)

however the two big questions left are

what turbo? if it were me i've always been a fan of the GT35, or GT35R (ball bearing, faster spool but need to run water lines. peakboost sells the kit)

what management? s300 is what I used and like the standard around here.

Ok cool, I take it by the bolded SLIPS that they must be notorious for slipping or skipping timing?

I will probably use like a garrett T3 57 trim, a local tuner and vendor for full race can get some AMAZING deals on that turbo new and told me I can make good power and it'll have pretty good spool

Management by NepTune dyno'd.

And the headstuds will be new, new OEM headstuds and GE arent that much of a price difference for me too worry about.

whoops. i missed the except part and just saw headstuds and used in the same sentence and was like

you got it right.

full-race and peakboost are guys you can go wrong with when you're looking for a turbo build so there

last thing I forgot was for a clutch I'd recommend competition. You could probably get away with a stage 3, but I'd recommend a stage 4, even a 5 if you want (my buddies stage 5 holds up to 400 fine, but he still wants a twin disc). They will all hold power and I am personally really happy with my stage 4. Very streetable too if you worried about being too aggressive/hard to handle
