Its been a long time since I posted in this thread considering work consumes the majority of my life but I have to say regardless of never meeting Juan, the dude was a real inspiration. He kept his head up after his car was stolen and worked his *** off to get it to the beautiful piece of machinery it is today. I used to check in all the time to see updates of his car and how it was coming along and being someone that had his Del Sol stolen aswell I had sort of a vested interest in seeing how his would turn out. Unfortunately I was never able to meet Juan and from reading everyones posts on NWP that did I really missed out. Its hard to say you will miss someone that you never met before but I started posting in this thread years ago and seems like you get to know everyone and it just hurts like I lost a family member of my own. RIP Juan, Sickest Captiva Sol I have ever seen and a major inspiration for my Sol.

Juan was a good man, knew him all through high school and afterwards as well. Not your normal kid, he was such a great man and he will be missed. He was so smart and nice and had tons of potential... I couldn't believe when I read his facebook that this happened. He did not deserve to go, but regardless he will be missed by more than he ever could have imagined.

So is a Mini-me swap worth it? I have a 93 S, and found 2 different heads one is a D16Z6 that includes the valve cover and vtec solenoid for $125. The other is a D16y8 no valve cover or vtech solenoid for $100.

I am leaning towards the Z6 since it is more complete.

I know I need to change my timing belt and will do the water pump at the same time. Should I replace the ECU or get mine flashed? What else should I do? (other than the obvious gaskets.)

Stupid question and i'll probably get flamed for it but...
can these substitute the lower fog grommets on the sol?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-up...ltDomainQ5f100

I thought they look pretty similar but i could be wrong.

Great trip. You're right great problems make for great adventures and that seemed like quite the adventure. I would've loved to have gone to Eibach.

This is for all my boosted solers, do you need a resister box for a 94 sol and what's the deal with low and high impedence injectors. Anyone with a boosted sol please help me out. What injector setup are you using?

Im asking because I baught a set of lucas 440cc saturated injectors from clean-injection and my car runs like crap when i put them in, so i have been just running the stock ones on literaly no boost. my car hasnt been tuned and does not have a base map yet so im sure thats one of the reasons it runs crappy but with the 440's in, I can even get past 3k rpms. any help would be awsome
