Yes it is even across the board so there is no serious trama to the motor which is a good thing but relatively low. I believe you should be at least in the 180psi+ range and any lower than 150 would be in the "danger" zone so you're right on the line I guess. So boosting it may put you over

Don't quote me on that but I recommend looking into it further to get a true answer. Maybe you can wait to take it apart to see how bad it looks inside but that may be too late.
Its not a GSR. Its a 2nd gen b16a.. I havent torn into it quite yet, but i've talked to a few local engine builders and tuners and they told me I shouldnt have anything to worry about as long as its even across the board. I guess i'll see when I take the head off or pull the engine out, but for all I know it could have aftermarket forged internals making it lower on the compression... If I dont like the way it looks when I pull it apart I'll go to a local machine shop and get their input.

Although I didnt un clip injectors during the compression test, and the tester might have been ****, I still need to try another one on it. The car doesnt burn any oil like at all.. And im sure valve lash could be adjusted. When it warms up i'll play with it a little bit more..

ya like i said all cylinder even/equal is def a good sign, no major trama like a hole in a cylinder or something. but 150 is still low in general, for a b16a too. they would have to be really low c/r pistons if they are new and reading that much. i definitely wouldn't say nothing to worry about and that its perfectly healthy. will it handle boost and be fine for what you're doing?...possibly but i guess thats up to opinion. I mean you'll get a little more on the comp test if you do WOT but not sure how much of a difference it will make. Valve adjustment won't affect it that much either. But if you're saying it runs great then ya it could just be the gauge. just something to look out for is all. you'll find out the true verdict sooner or later anyways

Hey guys, a new sol owner signing up!

I bought a 92' DelSol SiR, with 75.000km's on the clock.
The outside looks a little bad, it´s got scratches and some minor bumps all over it, but it´s propably going to get painted before summer. (Thinking about painting it with NH605-PiratesBlack)

Rocking the steelies for a few more days still, bought some new winter tires and found some 15" alloys in the back of the garage for them. Just need to paint them bronze before putting them on. I have a set of gold Rota GT3.s for the summer in 16".

The DC2 wing in the pics has already been taken off, and will be replaced by an original SiR wing. The upper foglights are missing, so I ordered a set of those too. I´ll also remove the red paint from the front lip once I have the motivation to take it off (Propably takes like, 2 minutes? =D)

On the tech side it´s pretty much stock SiR, it has got a 5zigen catback + test pipe and an AEM CAI. Also the gearbox has been changed for a ITR-box with torsen LSD, and the flywheel is Toda.

I can´t think of anything else to post right now, happy holidays for everyone, be safe!

Oh BTW, does anyone know how to get rid of the JDM 180km/h limiter?

yep... If it turns out bad i'll just get rid of it, sell it or part it and order a new swap from hmotors...

Hmm.. I got a chance to swap my 16" Rota GT3.s with brand new Kumhos for Genuine 15" Volk TE37.s with worn tires. Just wondering what those would look like on a Sol.. If someone has pictures of a sol with 15" 37.s please post!

Do it. Even if you don't like how they look, you'll have a better bargaining chip than a set of fake wheels for next time a trade comes along.

just make sure they are actually TE37s and not just Grids with stickers. Only saying that cause I know someone else on here that got into that situation of what seemed like a deal that was too good to be true...and it was.

Yeah, that´s true, and I also love the way the 37's look, it´s been my "dream wheel" for quite some time, just would have hoped that they´d be 16" but I guess 15" will be ok too. Just need to slam it more!

And Mugenk, I´ll go and pick them up myself since they are not that far away. That way I can make sure that they are genuine. I guess real TE37s would have the Rays &/or Volk logos/text somewhere in the inside of the rim too (no stickers but like engravement or something)

why is that rim counter balanced? There shouldn't be weights on opposite sides of the rim.
