I didn't hear you complaining a year ago. And in those videos you seemed to be enjoying it...

If our priorities were straight, we would all drive Prius' or Insight's saving the planet and our wallets, looking to buy a house, get married, have kids, get old and die.

Besides 13k is an overexaggeration. Besides has anyone seen the prices for aftermarket parts concerning the AP1/AP2? All that money and no numbers to show for it.

k-series ftw and 13k is I think a bit steep for a swap, it can be done cheaper.

Ain't that the truth. I had a co-worker at the magazine who spent over 3 grand of Spoon parts (themostat, filter, header & exhaust, TB) for his S2K, we put in our 'in-house' dyno, he lost 3hp top end and gained 1hp midrange. Woopie do.

Add hot cams+tune, and there would be a nice power gain there

So add another 2 grand and then you get power. haha no thanks! Besides the guy I'm talking about was an ******* and rich, so who cares.

Just stating that AP1/2's aren't what you would call "getting your priorities straight".

Who said I want cheap power? Get a bottle of NAWZZZZZZ and call it a day if that was the case.

There are many alchemies for power, I don't care for any of them. I'm getting a R swap one of these years and leave it stock - maybe some peripherals but thats it.

Don't worry about, we all make mistakes. For the last 3 years I've been looking into what makes the most power, whats best, etc etc. But I came to conclude that a B series or K series stock is more than enough for me. I'm more concerned with how it'll handle and brake.

tsk tsk james.. who said i was even going to mod the s2k? hahaha.... my priority is to get the s2k and just leave it the way it is. im tired of driving something old. i just feel its time to grow up and leave all the modding behind. yes, i did enjoy the gsr back in my younger days, but i really don't care for it too much now

what?? hahaha.. im getting older. i would say something, but i don't want to be mean to the guys i like. i save the insults to the ones i don't. besides the s2k im getting is only 3 years old and its better than driving something that is 13 years old. catch my drift? besides, after 22 there's 23, then 24, then 25. im only 3 years away from actually getting my own life together. yes, that means no more mom and dad. nothing wrong with moving up in a car. can't i enjoy (my idea of) luxury? back off james, my fight is not with you. i <3 james.

seriously though james, im done with modding and **** like that. its nothing but a hole in the wallet. cars are money pits and you never get what you put into them. The most i'll ever do wit the s2k is probly get wheels and suspension. THATS IT! nothing motor wise. comfort is what im going for. tried the auto 2006 civic and just wasn't feeling it. a little too comfy for my taste. i need to drive a stick and get back in a 2 seater. and what better way to get back into one than an s2k. would you prefer me to get something else? you name one thing thats a 2 seater and thats affordable other than an s2k. and don't say miata cause then i'll lose all respect for you

I <3 you too Oscar, but take it from someone who's a bit older, if you get too serious now, you're only going to drive your self insane or to a dangerous Mid Life crisis. Enjoy life, don't live it looking at a clock.

I can understand not wanting to mod a car, thats reasonable. I can also understand wanting a S2K, also reasonable. But this still is the del Sol thread, most of us <3 ya and I know you <3 most of us, but we're sticking to our guns.

What I'm really trying to say is chill out with the whole "getting old" thing. Look at how many of us who are older with our lives in order still acting like children. Lets not get the two confused.

Oh and guess what, I believe the MX-5 aka Miata is an excellent car. You may lose all respect you have for me, but thats the truth. I didn't want to like it, but after driving all 3 generations, it's way ahead of it's time.

im not going to quote everything you said. anyone can tell you im still an immature jackass, but i just choose to leave some of the things i don't need behind. when in this thread have you ever seen me serious? hahaha.. never! well, im hardly in here to begin with. i think this is the only time i have actually talked with you, jimmy, miko, or marsh. im not looking at the clock whatsoever, im actually looking foward to living on my own. anytime you want to come to cali for a greece break just hit me up

If I still lived at home (I'm 21 ) I'd ask my parents to buy me an S2K as well. Unfortunately I am married with my own place I rent. I still, however, find time to have fun with my 13 yr old car. I won't be doing a K swap anytime soon, but it gets the job done. I think regardless of what cars I get in the future, there will be desire to "mod" them. It gets in your blood. Oscar, you don't even have the car yet and your talking about suspension and wheels. That's more then alot of people ever get done on their cars. for getting a fun ride at a young age but don't be surprised if you get reeled back into the game. You rock though, man, and I'm sure your S2k will be every bit as clean as your del sol.

Damn guys quit fighing
Want to hear about my shitty christmas? To bad,

I spent all day yesterday swapping transmissions and a new clutch and flywheel. After all was said and done, My "NEW" tranny has a borken shift fork (1-2).

The guy I bought it from had the nerve to say it wasn't broken even after I told him I didint mind if it was broken because I had another transmission.
