yeah it'll be done way before the meet.
Sorry for the crappy pics...my camera sucks...It looks amazing in person. They're doing a really good job on it.
And I'm not really sure how much its costing me yet...its my bestfriends brother and mechanic that they have at their shop that is doing it for me. They said somewhere between 2-2.5k. Not bad for a full color change, fixing my trunk where I had a wing, did the whole engine bay, trunk, door jams, and they're wet sanding it and buffing it. The only way you'll know it was red before is if you pull the carpet. That doesn't happen to often.

x2 i need body work and paint too. but its SO expensive. some day when am satisfied with my car, ill take it all apart, get it painted, then put it back together and change anything i wasnt happy wit the first time around. then up on a shelf it goes to be looked at, with a "no touching" sign.

Yeah well I can't really afford it either lol. Actually I wasn't even planning on it right now and then I went out to eat 2 weeks ago with my friend and said eventually I want it done. The next day he calls me about taking the motor out of it so it could be done by may 9th and 10th to be done for the Carlisle Performance and Style show. He said I can pay what I want up front and pay the rest off monthly with no interest. It helps having connections I guess!

Oh man I would love nothing more to be in that situation. If i started 2 weeks ago I could have my car with fresh paint for May 9th as well for HIN. But even if money wasn't an issue time would be to take everything apart. Plus there would be a few other pieces I would want to get to make it worth painting that I don't have. Couldn't just let it go in the booth as in and have to change something. I mean you've had your dolphin front, panel, etc that you've been waiting to put on so definitely worth it.
I kept telling myself I'd wait and make a big deal out of it. Redoing it inside out and starting over with the bay/tuck. But the problem is I don't see myself pulling the motor just to put it back in, especially if its perfectly fine/healthy. Perhaps if I blew it or just wanted to do a build it would be incentive but otherwise it kill me to take it apart.
Anyways, good luck to you. Until my time comes I'll live vicariously through you and keep telling myself excuses/lies that i'll do it eventually and that its not a show car and shouldn't care about the paint.

Another little paint progress pic from today. Too bad its been raining all day long or I would have brought it home so I could have started putting the motor back in it. Friday.

I want paint! I wish I didn't have such a rare color (samba) I would get a full respray. But SGP sols are so uncommon, I'd hate to take that number down even further.

not to be rude, but i hate this kind of stuff
this car had 941 Hp. so? how much fun is it? you cant take it on the road cause its too loud and you cant catch traction without racing slicks, which arent street legal.
i realize that its probably built for drag racing, but at some point throwing thousands of dollars into a FWD four cylinder for a few extra horsepower seems pointless to me. For the cash spent to build that B series, you could probably have a 1500HP big block V8 in a camaro/Mustang (pick your choice)
to each his own i geuss, i just dont see the point in it.
