SCing is safer for a b18c5, don't you think?? plan on leaving the motor stock

no i'm talking about SCing the b18c5, once i go K, there's no need to bc i will be making enough power k20/k24 </TD></TR></TABLE>
yea turbocharging a b18c5 isnt such a good idea high compression, makes power, but sint very safe (on pump gas anyways)

i know you were but that should be fun! i think you can get like 275whp out of a jrsc ITr

too mcuh power?! BLASPHEMY! thats like my dream setup, s/c'd k20/k24

You will always want more power.

k20/24

Add a supercharger or smallish turbo later for fun with no lag.

Yeah I know a guy who used to have a PY R that made Stupid power.

Fully built motor and could spank bikes if he was able to get traction.

I am fortunate enough to have Locash Racing in Phoenix so if I wanted to do a project like that I wouldn't hesitate. Something like 5psi at 11.5:1 would be a monster

pun intended with the psshh??? LOL

a lot of people do, its a nice sounding bov and great for the people that really want to hear it or show it off for that typical boosted sound
not calling anyone a ricer since I really like the sound too and miss it a lot actually
I know Tial is the best to go performance wise and what pros use and everything
Its not adjustable for sounds/stiffness as the other ones are so you know its made just to do its purpose and not sound amazing (they are really chattery)

But I know if I went boost I would want an HKS ssqv and always wanted one
that and the greddy are the best sounding and my favorite BOVs of all time...just like the sound you expect to hear...
I had an HKS before but it was just a by-pass valve

my girlfriend had that. she liked it cause it sounded like a "rattle snack" at low boost

i would imagine he would go with a shorter gearing. and even a gsr tranny (usually people go even shorter) on a motor that with a rev limiter at 8500, on on your standard sized street tire will only go ~160,

the only way i could see something going that fast would be an ls tranny/a larger wheel combo.

good luck trying to mount those first..those brackets are mangled and are pretty much missing 1 of the 2 main mounting points on each bracket

btw, that seller has been trying to get rid of those for a long time on here and a couple other forums..

i have the ssqv, but i had to take out the little 3 spoke "whistler" because i think that high pitched noise is annoying. Now mine just makes a woosh sound, and is pretty quiet really. Hopefully sometime I'll have a chance in the next couple months to recirculate it back into my intake and it should be almost silent
