haha tis cool, i guess i could do a brief timeline of my wheels

first set of wheels (rota grids)

next up was some polished rota c10's

sold out of the rota game, and got some advan rg's

went to the track one night, saw a nice *** ek on some cpr's, he ws down to trade (here is where 4x114 comes into play)

got bored with the cp-r's, and came across a good deal on one of my dream wheels (16" regas)

on monster truck tires

finally all mounted up

i think thats about all, all caught up now very brief history of my wheels.. many many more to come

well i was supposed to pick up my car tonight, but turns out the motor had some issues.

the motor's blowing excessive smoke only on acceleration. i had a chip burned from the guy who's eventually gonna dyno tune the car for me after it's broken in and that's what was in on initial start up. it was a tune from another customer of his with a similar setup so we both figure it'd be fine for just the break in.

changed the oil twice after a couple of mild drives around the block to seat the rings and blew out a spark plug. checked all the plugs and they were extremely black and toasty already. less than 20 minutes of driving and less than 2 miles on brand new plugs!

wasn't able to put the stock chip back in so that's what's going to happen tomorrow and hopefully that takes care of most of the problems.

hopefully it's not a piston to wall clearance issue.

yeah i'm hoping the program the guy burned for me was just way too rich which is why one of the plugs blew out.

i'll find out tomorrow.

im gunna ask this.

can anybody explain to me how the antenna BOP attaches. i bought one about a year ago and have yet to put it on. i thought it would attach like an EK or EG. but it doesnt make sense. with the antenna out its just a whole. i think i need a special plate that goes on the back or something. IDK

i was stumped too for a minute

when you put the screws in, it pushes out little "tabs" which holds it snugly on the body kinda cool

oh. i see! im not a fan of 16 myself

i just noticed your sig 12.5!!!!!

and i just looked at your bio, u got jdm door panels!? so the pass controls the windows? </TD></TR></TABLE>

yup

here's a close up:

I still haven't gotten the "auto" feature to to work on the pass side window though and still need to do that, but it not a high priority since I usually don't sit in the pass side

and here's the driver side switch w/o the power window controls but instead with the clip:

also the maplight turns on and off when you open and close the door respectively:

still need to do the pass side as well but haven't yet for the same reason above ^^^

oh and to make things even more complicated/overkill/fancy

the jdm transtop switch above the cluster makes all the windows go up and down simultaneously together:

and just going to add it because, s2k start button and usb port for hondata:

oh and my other s2k mod (hoping more to come in the future )and since antennas were mentioned ^, here's what i went with instead of the BOP:

i just recently fixed and improved it as well..I had a car cover on and when i pulled it off, it caught the antenna and it came flying off

now its a lot more sturdy and think the signal/connection is better too

wow , can't believe I did all those mods this spring...kinda miss doing stuff like that...unique...pointless but unique imo...

still have a few new things in mind though and a couple still left on the to do list...

sorry to say and I could be wrong, but sounds like blow by to me

and the black on the plugs could be burnt oil

then again it could just be running pig rich from the tune

what color is the smoke? blue or black? do you know what fuel pressure you're running? stock injectors and pump i assume too right?

and what do you mean "blow out a spark plug" ?? like one got fouled?

either way I wish you the luck and hope it turns out for the best instead of the worst or the least amount of trouble instead of the most

this type of stuff always happens with new project/big changes and just take time to perfect is all

haha, that wasn't even when it was loud

this is :

it just has gotten generally quieter, with exhaust, intake, valvetrain, injectors

and smoother over time with driving, start up, idle, etc

not sure it was all because of all the changes of parts and tuning to run better, or if it was just warmer/summertime weather...

I got the d15 on the stand awaiting dissasembly. Im gonna need alot of parts to get the thing running:

both axles
a complete intake mani
exhaust mani
timing belt
head gasket
new head bolts?
possibly a clutch; the old one looks a little fishy
valve seals
intake mani gasket
exhaust mani gasket
an electronic vss

if anyone has any of these parts for sale pm me!

still havent figured out the new problem with the black car... its like the freakin thing hit 90,000 miles and everything automatically breaks lol, wtf.
