and to everyone else, yes anyone can do anything to their car..but at least try to be a little different..when i came out with the moldings setup back in 2006, i had NO idea they would be something others wanted..afterall, they were never even sold in the states back then..i guess i was wrong

I can agree, but people are gonna do what they like. I've never seen a car done and done as well as yours that hasn't been copied in some way. It's just bound to happen. It looks like the same mods most sols have except that it does have the moldings. the rest of it seems fairly typical from what I see around here; a "jdm" equipped Sol

Man, now I wish I lived closer! I've always been into music of all kinds and I've been working out quite a bit for the last few months and needed something to apply my energy to. This seems way more enjoyable then any stupid team sports. It's just really cool learning to use your own body to support your weight. Nothing I'm diving into too seriously. Gonna try and learn windmills soon ,

MAN! Don't even bring up skating. I miss doing it so much! I just suck now and have nowhere to do it at the Mrs and I's new house we bought. But I've been jogging a bit over a mile nonstop everyday and lifting some weights here and there. I've put on a some muscle weight and haven't really felt better in a LONG time. But I'm glad to have somebody else cool to chat breakin' with

haha i hear ya..i skated for about 4yrs and i was really good..but i havent done in it years but i still know how to do it and i bust out the board here and there just to make sure i still got it ..i moved away from my highschool when i graduated and lost touch of alot of my friends i used to skate with..and i started breaking before i started skating..and just like skating, i break once in a while so i wont lose my touch lol

if you need any help or advice with breaking, shoot me a pm so we dont clutter the thread with stuff most on here dont know about

Pretty hard to make our del sols look different when we are pretty much all using OEM Honda parts

there were other people besides jdm john that made replicas. the one i had and sold to 2wheelhunter was a more recent in the past 2 years and it was off. it was tweaked like the mold was twisted. the guy i got mine from made them in cali too.

Wow... thats constructive. He used OEM optional parts and he's copying? Obviously you don't notice the differences like um... THE COLOR... and um... THE WHEELS?

Do you really think that Jimmy thought of all these parts first? Have your ever seen a del Sol optional part booklet? I think the designers at HONDA thought of these combos first.



How about the things Jimmy has that he doesn't? Kevlar hood... Ameripol top... Mugen wheels... Spoon brakes... custom b pillar bar... Just to mention a few.

So please - with all due respect - get off the hater-tech bandwagon or GTFO.

Yeah he has the bumper moldings and a lot of stuff that Jimmy has, but at least it's not GOLD lol That would be too much of a copycat.

I think the sol would look better if instead of buying all of the parts he did buy, he had body panels that fit right and wheels that didn't have positive camber lol. I have never seen so many body panels not line up when a car has somewhat fresh paint.

To the owner of the car, good part choices, but I would have recommended spending that money on quality body work, and maybe some coilovers, instead of the moldings, replica wing, and some of the other parts. The sol would have looked great IMO if it had great body work, that color, good drop and the lip.

Just my opinion, I don't post much in here, just figured I would in case it got crazy in here

Captiva sol's are still the best anyway, don't know why everyone's fighting?

i havent posted much. but i have been following the tread for a while.
ive had the car for almost 2 years now. i finally put in the jdm gsr last weekend. ill put newer pictures up later. but for now....

 

I phone picture with the "mirror effect" .... makes it look weird... RHD, exhaust on left side, and antenna on the left .. kinda like it lol.

All this talking and nobody is accomplishing anything.

Someone come over and help me adjust these coilovers, I'll do two and someone else can do the other two. I want it done quicker.
