One man can only know so much, point is for <U>everyone to have an open mind and everything we learn has to be taken with a small grain of salt</U>. Many times there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to cars. It all comes down to what each persons preference and driving technique is like. But to call "drilled" brakes pretty much worthless for your Honda when the Bugatti Veyron can reach an excess of 260 mph doesn't really add up. Oh yeah, the Veyron has "drilled" Brembos.

I've heard mixed reviews about D2, mostly on the negative side. Tein I've nothing but the best from friends, colleagues, and mechanics.

I dont actually have the light in hand...does it come with a mounting bracket or mounting bolts?
That's a nasty looking cut. You better make sure no water will be getting in there..that bare metal is going to rust real fast!

Well of course Tein is one of the best when it comes to suspension. BUT, it comes with a nice price tag.

Ive talked to Preston at Function & Form. I can get their full coilovers with pillow mounts for $650 shipped. The Tein SS's with the pillow mounts are like $1200, thats a huge difference.

So I dont know. Id like the Teins b/c I know the product is great, but its twice as much as the F&F.

Should I just save up more and get the Teins, or do yall think F&F is a good product for the money?

i was saving up for my teins and got lucky getting them barely used for cheap. i recommend researching both products and based on that, let that help you decide. the phrase "you get what you paid for" comes to mind when price shopping, tein's aren't that expensive when compared to its equal/greater counterparts, like apex, ohlins, hks, endless, mugen, etc...

just looking through jhp...

Function Form $699: http://www.jhpusa.com/catalog/...9b646

Tein $1200: http://www.jhpusa.com/catalog/...9b646

**Function form official website: http://www.f2autolife.com/stor...6d2ee to research their design, etc...

Basic Damper are adjustables and more than most of us will ever need. Besides there's no turns in the States - what are you guys stressing about?

This is true. I thought about the basics, but was unsure. I was planning on going to auto-x events and stuff after my motor and stuff, so I didnt know how they would be.

Cause the F&F are still cheaper and they are adjustable. Again though *You get what you pay for*

Well in the end it's your buck that you're spending, what I really suggest is that you find a friend who's got either suspension and take a ride and see how it responds.

I've had my Basics for about 3 years now, and I'm still pleased with the ride. I've learned never to settle on a part just because of the price.

Well, I would do that. But Ive only been at my new place for 8 months. And with working 50hrs a week, I havent met anyone yet. Basically, I have no friends haha Only my cool Del Sol HT.com e-friends lol.

Plus eveyone here is a ricer by every meaning of the word haha

I never like to go cheap on parts either. Well, not anymore. Ive bought all quality parts so far, so whatever I buy will end up being the "best bang for the buck"
