Didn't make it to the meet. I wanted to go, but I was too lazy to get the car ready for a trip back to Seattle on Friday night. Had to change the oil, replace headlight bulbs, clean it up, etc.

Finally made it back to Seattle a few minutes ago, and I managed to even make it into the parking garage without scraping.

if anyone wants any of the stuff, hit me up with dibs, and I'll get back to you by the end of the week.

-jdm 1 piece headlights
-p28 chipped with hondata s300
-buddy club spec 3 cams for GSR cams+cash.
-work rsz-rs
-skunk2 full coilovers

the brakes might be too much of a pain to part unless I find someone local to swap for stocks

Made some progress on my sub enclosure. I'm going to be running a 8" Dayton Quatro in a fiberglass enclosure right behind the driver's seat. You can see the sub and the base of the enclosure below.

Though I'm not a fan of audio setups I like the idea.

I already have JDM 1 piece headlights...
I don't need a p28 for a SOHC...
I definetly can't use those cams on a SOHC...
I don't want staggered wheels, especially ones that are a punny 7 inches wide...
and finally I'm going for Teins (hopefully)...

Got any M3 fenders?

what exactly are you selling for the brake set up if you even do end up parting with them?
just curious

and I bet Ryan will be jumping on that s2 suspension
cause i'm pretty sure she's been looking/wanting coilovers
and was about to buy some s2s brand new
plus didn't she say something about having money to spend?
or even a b-day/annivserary which means presents/cash?

anyways, sorry to hear about the part out
but i guess you've thought about it throughly and made up your mind (i don't agre with the decision but its yours nonetheless)

if you can't be convinced to keep the del sol
I'll at least try and convince you to sell complete, like to someone like that girl for 8Gs
Someone will come and make an offer like that I'm sure (specially considering the price of stock del sols...mint...but stock nonetheless go for...some cheap and some expensive...just depends on buyer and seller)
And once the del sol is sold complete with a couple of Gs in your pocket
you must get an s2k and just admit to yourself right away that you can't keep it stock and buy k-pro i/h/e/ and some cams

what happened to building the del sol though?
sounded so serious/sure about it?

It's Chachas 3rd sell out. He's owned 3 Sols, 4 or 5 CRX's and he's only 20 so he's as indecisive as a woman locked in a shoe store with a limit on her daddy's credit card.

Looks great Tom. Picture of the steering wheel? It looks like the Nardi Marines but you said it's grey and it's really stirred my curiosity.

Steering wheel was the first thing I noticed too
Don't think he's posted pics of it yet

On a side note
I got to register for classes in a hour
and my eBay auctions end this afternoon

Speaking of steering wheels... I remember you saying you wear gloves when you use your Mugen steering wheel. Does the suede wear out regardless? Or is there a spray that can protect it?

My car is equiped with SRS and Cruise Control... What do I have to do to remove the wheel?

*Note: I havn't got the wheel or hub yet so I was just wondering what needs to be done on a theoretical level.

LOL
Just a note, I have momo red full sleeved gloves so when I do drive with them on (specially with a short sleeve shirt) I look ridiculous
But thats the price I gotta pay though

and second, I usually only put them on when I do some "agressive" driving or its just cold
but definitely at the track for sure when I put my helmet on (gloves for the metal shift **** are a must so my sweaty hand doesn't slip)

When I do just cruise and drive without gloves (feels great )
I notice my hands/palms are slightly blackish and "dirty" after
I'm assuming its suede particles wearing off
So I try to grip/hold the steering wheel lightly as possible (specially when just going straight and the wheel just needs to be held steady)
But i know the wheel takes a major beating when trying to park
Cause no power steering
All I can say is I'm glad its not a 330mm wheel

But to be honest, I'm not sure how much it helps
As I know suede steering wheels are infamous for fade
while leather would last longer

I believe the main contributor to fade is sweaty hands, and gloves would prevent this
but gripping/rubbing the steering wheel regardless will cause it to fade I think

again I don't know, just guess/reasoning logically

Its a shame because the best part of a suede wheel is the feel of it on your hands
but if you want it to last long, stay in mint condition, sell it later on...
not sure what you can really do to prevent wear and tear

and the steering wheel is super easy to remove
2 "special" bolts on either side for the air bag (they have a 12 point "star" pattern...name is escaping me now though) under the cover
Then a big 19mm to remove the wheel
make sure to uplug horn, cruise control, srs plugs before you do
Then take off the SRS spinning/wiring assembly after uplugging everything
Now your hub should be able to bolt back on with that 19mm bolt
and just 6 hex screws for the QR and another 6 for the wheel
thats it I think...
oh and btw, your srs will obviously light up
not sure how you want to take care of it, but removing the bulb is an option...

Well I don't want racing gloves - more like those 80's leather gloves with holes for your hands to breathe.

I was wondering if Suede protector that you use for Suede shoes or jackets would work...

So I'm guessing the passenger airbag will be useless right?

[freak] you marvin, smart *** .

James, I think if you just put the red jumper into the SRS socket the passenger side stays active but I don't know for sure. Hell I don't have a passenger or drivers airbag so I don't care much.

LOL james.

and will..I hear ya man..but 8 grand is a good bit of money for a 93 honda. I was suprised I even got an offer like that around here..its a lot easier to sell it when its more stock when it comes down to it..cause the market opens up for older people too LOL.

as far as the brakes go..its a fastbrakes 11" kit if that answers your question?

and yeah I guess I just woke up one of these last couple of days and decided I was tired with modding. Ive had my fair share of little fixer uppers and I guess I just grew out of it. Everytime I drive an s2k,I spend money on the car,and then I look at it after like "nope, still not like an s2k!" Ive been eying an s2k for so long,I thought its time to just man-up and get one.
