EDIT NVM for whatever reason my browser doesn't like it when I don't type the www. first still doesn't really explain the "domain available" webpage that came up IMO

oh well here's what I just bought...quite a bit nicer than the badge, "H" or hello Kitty horn buttons currently on ebay:

thats MAD JDM YO
seriously, it really is cause its japanese
like pokemon or something LOL

edit:

OMG that is effing hilarious

never seen them before until you just mentioned them and I searched "jdm horn"
LOL, figured i get the exact results i was looking for haha

The honda one isn't bad
it would be better with just a plain emblem
at least its blue, not light blue and not dark blue...

i really think the one with the soshinaya/jdm begginer badge isn't bad
specially if you just get a generic steering wheel

you really can't find a personal horn for any cheaper anywhere else?

Yeah unfortunately. Its so sad. I really wish I didn't have to worry about getting my bumper s painted in the future. Oh well. Heres a picture of my car with the nicely faded bumper. ITs like they didn't even paint it at the factory, its just a big piece of red plastic. I suppose after a nice polish, wash, and wax it looks good.

Can someone clarify what this guy is trying to say in this link? I've read it three times and can't seem to get a clear idea as to what he's trying to get across. I plan on doing some work on my sol tomorrow and wouldn't mind "gaining an extra 1 hp per spark plug" http://www.teamdelsolwa.com/howto/sparkplug.htm. Bad writing and small pictures for the loss.

just read it
its just basically making sure the electrodes all point in the same direction or whatever
guess its supposed to add hp and make the engine run more effecient and quiteter
because the electrodes give a more "even" spark or something
not sure

he's right about the anit seize though
since stripping a spark plug in the head is the most minor/small mistake that has huge horrible consequences, required lots of labor to fix

but it reminds me i have to check/change my plugs before the next time i drive my car...

its basically the same as trying to screw on the oil cap in your valve cover tight or lose so its straight (i know i'm OCD so I do it on mine)

same thing with trying to screw on your shift **** so the shift patter is straight and facing the right way (thats what the threaded collar does so you can tighten it at the exact degree you want it)

Right, so if I point the 'electrode' part of the spark plugs all towards the intake manifold, then I can actually gain an extra 1hp per plug?

unfortunately nope...
some random site has them for 45 + shipping...17.85 WTF...it's god damn 2" of plastic and 2 short wires
JHP has plenty of them in stock but wants 30 + 15 for shipping WTF?!
ASSword refuses to sell just the buttons
Camp1320 can't/won't get them
and didn't here back from weaksos or aspec

so screw it...less than 1/2 the price for something I like almost as much

kinda sucks though, just saw the autobot one from the same seller(by going into his store)....totally would've bought that instead just to further have fun with John lsdecepticon(or as I call him...deceptiTARD)

[freak] 2 in a row?!?!?!

pic of one I bought:

and for kicks...the autobot one:

yea i guess
maybe

but you can probably gain 1hp by pumping gas from a different station
or driving on a 60 degree day rather than 70 degree
its quite negligible

and you notice + or - 3-5 hp every run on the dyno
even if you don't change a thing

just depends on variables/conditions for each run...

but i do agree the "kind" of spark plug you use specifically for weather conditions, boost/na, pump or race gas in important
i've seen changing from wrong(bosch) to right (ngk) plugs make 15-20 hp differerence on the dyno
thats because the wrongs one were robbing power and weren't gapped correctly
and the right properly gapped ones returned the power
not just gained the power out of no where...

thats pretty expensive
but i think the mugen button goes for around the same (more most likely)
and i bet sparco or momos aren't cheap either...

do horn buttons usually come separately?
i know mine was...

LOL
what does the deal with him and transformers anyways?
i'm sure its funny

you should've definitely gotten the autobot one
would've been perfect, specially for you
just like how bumblebee had the same horn button
except you're a blue baboon? LOL

ask if they you can change or order cause you just saw the other one you want more and changed your mind
i'm sure they'll do it for you
not like they sent it out already
or even processed it for that matter

i still says the hello kitty one owns though
whoever's willing to sport that horn button get kudos

i like this button
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

anyway.... i got the uber deal on some teg parts today from a buddy that hasn't had his teg in over a year but still had parts.

dash hood and pass. fender (i need a driver's)
$40. delivered.

who's the man?

troy- ---- good job on the fogs man. glad someone finally did it. i've seen the 2g talon fogs on a 96-97 front before and it looked similar, but it was off a dsm so ehh

I guess really the only problem is the brackets to hold them in place... I would have tried if i ever got the 96-97 front. then again, charge pipes are mean.

Got my block assembled yesterday. Boy was I nervious! Eeverything went togeather real easy and smooth.

I'm a little worried about my torque specs. I picked up a helms manual and for example the oil pump bolts are only supposed to be torqued at 8ft/lbs? The rods and the girlde were both recomended to be torqued in the mid 30's. Just didn't seem right. Anyone care to do a double check for me? Maybe I read wrong?

fogs do a good job of distracting you from it though

so knowing nothing about Ds
and apply general honda and B series info

those number sounds about right
oil pump bolts are only 10mm
and if you try and go over 8
you will snap and strip them (i know )
the 10 mm bolts on a b-series vtec head only need to be torqued down to 7.5lbs
and they are pretty much the same bolts with the same length...

Same thing with the girdle and rods
Whatever it says its probably correct

Obviously the most important torque specs are the head bolts
make sure you clean out the studs (ARP i'm assuming) and lube them very well
so no friction when torquing them down
and follow the pattern given in the manual
and you should be all set and have nothing to worry about

Dude, those fogs are looking good, I really think you'd get a good amount of praise if you did a good write-up. Question: What button are you going to use?

I don't think you should have a problem. Considering those Lexus's have basically the same thing, but two of them. You ever see that?, they have the four brake lights. They remind me of the fogs. My friend Ana put hers on and she said the light was SUPER bright, so she put a 'dimmer' bulb in, its still bright as hell tho.

I like em. I've never been one to freak out about getting fog lights for my car, but those look good If I ever decided to do fogs, that looks like a good choice. No worries tho, it's not even on the to do list, so you dont have to worry about me copying you. I have years to go before all I want to do is done and then have money burning a hole in my pocket so i'll decide to install some of my own, lol.

Yea, she was headed down a much ricier path, but now it seems she is going for a more clean/JDM look.

Funny you should say black housings with a EM1 lip, bc that is exactly what I want. Altho I don't have black aux's to match.

I was referring to the actual lexus, not the scary body kit, but that works too.
