I saw it on eBay too
might make a super low ball offer of like $300 LOL
he's also selling them on H-T too....
either way
asking too much $$$
i think the only way i'll buy one is cheap second hand
i wonder if people are actually paying/buying??

these are just like those arm rest covers that guy makes
they make a good product with then intention of selling them for less that the real one or cheaper than new door panels cause they know all del sol owners want it but can't easily afford it, so this is a cheap substitute/solution.
but once they make it and realize the demand/market/money to be made
they get greedy and instead of helping del sol owners out, they use the fact that they are the "only ones" with the product
and sell it for top $$$ cause people want it, just as much as the real one or wrinkless door panels

 Airjordan's connection is wanting to make quite a bit off of each person still
So I just got off the phone with John @ Ameripol. We had a rather lengthy conversation & he is a really cool guy. I basically got the same speach that is listed above, as material prices keep going up he found it is hard to keep the price at $650 still. He was also rather skeptical about GBs and how many people always flake out when the time comes (which we can ALL agree to).

Here is the info.

Blue & Bronze are the only colors, and both look black from the outside.

Top weights 7 pounds lighter than OEM top, so weight yours to get an exact number.

Blue blocks 93% UV, so it keeps more light & heat out of car, recommended for hot environments. (hot being over 100* more than a few days a year)

Bronze blocks 88% UV, so it lets a little more light in than the blue as well as a little more heat with it.

It takes 3 days to produce a top, and can make 3 at a time, so 3 tops in 3 days.
Charges to Credit cards are made the day BEFORE top ships, not the day of order so dont worry if it doesnt show up right away.

Now for the price.
$565 Shipped if you live close to Phoenix AZ (surrounding states), farther away MAY have an additional charge for shipping, he guestimated around $10~$20 or so.
NOW, the price is not as low as I had hoped but it seemed to be good compared to what else has been currently offered. I think if we can seriously prove how many people can put their money where their mouth is we might be able to get a little better deal still & atleast get the shipping price locked in for sure.

So who has any ideas how we can lock in buyers, I am thinking we need a deadline.
I think we should have the GB Final this Sunday, and people have that week to place their orders with Ameripol.

GROUP BUY LIST FOR $565-$585 AMERIPOL TARGA TOPS.
*****If you don't agree to this price please PM me so i can remove you from the list.

no, and none. Not without Vtec or aftermarket lcs'a anyway. anything bigger than 19mm, it is reccomended that you use an ASR (or the likes of) subframe brace.

hondas as a rule understeer, and the way to get rid of understeer is to add a larger rear swaybar

not the same thing you're talking about, but kind of related..
i bought some 3m rubber undercoating for my car....(as well as some scotch guard for my seats)
i plan on spraying the whole rear end underneath, the trunk, subframe, gas tank etc...
maybe more underneath the car and the wheel wells...

he had them listed for 600 on ebay, said he'd give em to me for 500 so that he didnt have to ship, offered him 400 cash, wouldnt go that low, since he had 450 in them, so we settled on $450 cash.. not bad IMO for some near mint s2k seats

Ok guys, quick question

So if I trade my sol I want to keep my coilovers/shocks
I've never swapped susp by myself before but if I did would I just need to take the top 2 nuts off then the other bolts inside the wheelwell and off the rear LCA?

wow
definitely a great deal
only $50 more than you offered
thought he wouldn't go less than halfway at $500
which would still be an awesome deal...
so you must be happy/satisfied/excited
