Well if it's pure technical information you're looking for I found you two links that I hope will help you out.

http://www.carbibles.com/transmission_bible.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L...anism

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torsen

The last link is the type of LSD the ITR has.

I didn't check H-T for links, but I'm sure there's a thread somewhere.

In a nutshell, the Cusco 1,5 LSD will probably prove way too much for a street car and you will most likely just plow forwards i.e. loads of understeer on turns. The ITR is like a compromise between a pure race tranny and a Open differential street tranny. It'll be easier to handle on turns and probably allow you to go faster because it should allow you to turn in, maintain, and exit at a overall faster speed.

With the 1,5 you'll need to brake hard before turn in, ride through slow passing the apex, but your exit speed will be better.

Well something along those lines. </TD></TR></TABLE>

thank you! wasnt trying to be lazy, just figured someone could give a quick idea. i was expecting jon to cover it, but i guess he just a poser
