yeah, gt4 kinda kills me sometimes though, there are a lot of things that are super unrealistic. GTR2 for PC is where its at.

Though the real reason that was not included in the final release of GT4 (same goes for online multiplayer by the way) was that the hardware platform simply could not handle the calculations needed to allow for this functionality. Imagine, the PS2 is taxed very heavily as it is with GT4, but to have to calculate physics damage along with the normal calculations is waaaay to much for the PS2 to handle.

Besides, with the way I drive, my PS2 would be crashing constantly

 

The thing that gets me is there is no realistic vehicle damage... I wanna smash things and kill stuff...

It still took me awhile to learn how to drive for NFS Carbon..... and it made my friend's other games like grand theft auto vice city seem pathetic and comical.

Yeah PC sims are the only game I've played that felt truly realistic. Richard Burns Rally is another one that with the Driving Force Pro wheel feels pretty awesome. Here is the wheel I REALLY want:
