The first and second generation CRX's were not del Sol's. The third gen CRX was at least called a "CRX del Sol." So if this "4th gen CRX/CR-Z" has the name del Sol in it, then it will be legit del Sol argument.

What if it had an available targa? Besides the name... what do you think makes a del Sol a del Sol?

A S2000? It was the "del Sol" talk of the world when it was first being made into production. All the comparing arguments, but turned out to be nothing like it, and has not been spoken of in the same matter since. Only the name would make a "Civic/CRX del Sol" a del Sol. If there's no name, its not the same.

I'm not sure why you mention the S200 since it doesn't have a targa top.

or rwd,etc.

see, first it was just a debate about IF/WHAT/HOW honda would bring back the crx,and it was interesting. I never really followed any of the articles about that, but those guys did and they were sharing/discussing and I was fairly interested, since Im an avid crx fan ..and now you guys turned it into a gay one talking about crx this, del sol that...thats wasnt even the topic being discussed on the last page.

Yeah, I've heard of those comparisons before.
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SOLtrain "tiiiteboyee" &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">or rwd,etc.

I found it interesting too. That's why I joined in. I would have replied earlier, but I had to go pick up my car from paint (about an hour or so away).

No one's arguing. No one's fighting. Someone brought up a new CRX. A couple of people just talked about what they thought a new "CRX" could become. No need to get all worked up.

Sorry Amy. I wasn't trying to argue with you or anybody. All I did was replied to this:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by solbrothers &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">stop with the arguing please. this isn't the del sol debate thread </TD></TR></TABLE>
With this:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by skip.two &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">It's not even a del Sol argument to begin with.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Then came at me with this:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by NOFX &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Well, since the third gen CRX is the del Sol (aka Civic del Sol, aka CRX del Sol), then this concept is a del sol in a way.</TD></TR></TABLE>

So thats how the whole CRX del Sol thing came up. It's all good. Continue your debate with the CR-Z if you'd like.

OK HERE IT IS!

Here is the video from my race in reno.

bare in mind that it is a time trials race, so the person with the fastest lap wins, not the person who crosses the finish line first. so, i took the approach that I let all the cars past me to make room for a clean lap, which is why I baby it through the course for ~3-4 laps before I get on it.

skip to the end if you only wanna see the kaboom

Like I said, no debate. Anyway though, I basically said all I had wanted to say. I'd only say more if someone else replied back about their thoughts on Honda's future models and I felt like I had something to say.

lol you're joking, right? i'd say that the following indicators are a pretty good sign that the motor is gone:

200 foot tall plume of smoke behind car immediately following incident
Half a remaining spark plug in #4
I can see the rod through the spark plug hole
the 5 pounds of slag in the oil pan

yeah. timing belt and a compression test won't do jack all for me lol
