sole did u paint those corner lens oh and i have a question whats the esiest way to figure out if the ys1 tranny i have is a ls or gsr and no the tranny isnt installed and no i cant install it and drive it because i dont know what clutch to get because im not sure what tranny it is i know the person i got it from told me its a gsr and that his has a obx lsd now im not one to really trust people but the fact that it has a lsd is good enough to buy so thats why i bought it and yes it does have a lsd i just would like to know for sure what tranny it is and did i ever make it in the squad lol dont think i did

 

4 sure im excited to get it plus it has cold AC and an auto so getting stuck in traffic will be just dandy

Yes, I painted the corner lens. I used the VHT nightshade paint. I also did my taillights if you haven't noticed . I'm not sure about the tranny, but I'm also getting another LS cable tranny with Exedy Stage 1 racing clutch and LSD, I'm not sure what kind but it does have LSD. I went to check out the tranny today. He's selling it to me for 500$ You think that's a good deal? He said he'll also throw in a 8lbs fidanza flywheel, total out come is 575$ Should I do it?

 

That flywheel is too light for a stock motor, especially an LS, IMO. I'd also opt for shorter gears, too. If you plan to boost, then it'd be a decent gearbox for daily driving, I'd think.

 

Ah, I see. So I should forget the flywheel and go with the tranny as is? I'm also going to pull out my motor, I'm trying to do it after next month and do a wire tuck while the motor is out. Probably going to rebuild the motor as well.

i personally dont mind the ls tranny my car is a dd and i love that long 3rd gear pull on the highway i really only like short geared trannys if im tracking the car which im not so even if my tranny turns out to be a ls im cool with it and for 500 and the clutch yea thats a pretty good deal i paid 400 for mine and mine is supposed to be a ys1 gsr tranny but i guess i wont know until i put it in

 

LS trans are not worth 500 dollars, unless there's an LSD. I bought my B16 trans with a clutch for $250.

 

i think he said it has a lsd in it and exedy clutch with fidanza fly wheel id say its worth 500 bucks

Very rare, that about sums it up on wiki, just try and find one for sale. They pop up evey now and then, but expect to drop some cash for a good example.

 

and i cant figure out why they are so high priced whats the biggest diffrence besides the aztec green color and the vtec motor just buy a ls for cheaper and buy a swap and bingo a gsr lol and yes i have had a aztec green gsr and now i have a ls hence why i can say its not much of a diffrence just the bling factor of the word gsr oh and 1ac i seen ya car in honda tuning mag sweet

the leathers also came in the ls special editions as well.

i have a set of the front leathers and i freakin love them! sooo damn comfortable!

As for the GSR, The infamous B17 is truly the cause of the price jump, its Honda History! Also the subtle details like the 9k tach, vtec moldings, emblem, seats etc. It's too unique, although I would rather go the route of dropping in a B18C and calling it a day myself, owning a true GSR is honarable in my opinion.

 

been there done that lol and the gsr didnt have leather til 98 i thought id say the del sol with the b16 are more rare granted i love all hondas besides the prelude lol

 

Not true, ls special edition and the Gs model integra came with leather interior. I had a 91 Gs with black leather.

 

^^ Truth..... I miss my black GS with tan leather.....
