Anyone might know what's wrong with my car? It throws a check engine light on more often now. When I drive, it bogs/sputters and kind of sound like it's misfiring. It can't be my spark plugs, because I changed them last weekend. Anyone might think it's my timing?

If you're still using obd0 you hould start by checking the code your ecu is kicking and go from there. Pull back the passenger carpet and count the led blinks. A Chilton/Haynes manual will be needed to tell you code meaning. I had a similar issue and it was my internal coil going bad. This could be timing as well. Best of luck homie.

I got the codes, it's giving me codes 43 and 16. Can you explain what safe mode is?

43- fuel supply system
16- fuel injector

safe mode- it knows something is unsafe with the engine and will not allow you to rev it past 3k rpm.

in your case, you either have a bad injector or you have a bad injector seal(s).

pop your hood, smell for gas.
check for any leaks around each injector.
if you find a leak, replace the seals for that injector(s).
if you dont find any leaks, start the car, then remove/re-install the injector clips one at a time. if you have a bad injector, the engine will not run any differently once the clip is unplugged. then you will know you need to replace that injector.

let us know what you find out

Thanks for the info, I'll check that later on today. This morning as I was driving, I heard a noise. I don't know what is sounded like, but it had something to do with my transmission. I'm not able to go into any gears and it felt like my clutch pedal got a little stiffer. I'm having all these problems. 256k miles

Well here are some pictures from yesterday before all that happened.

looks like its just a cheap replacement style antenna you get at the auto parts stores instead of the oem, mechanical style

Picking up DA #2 tomorrow from the booth, finally! Hopefully going to install all the trim/lights and prep the Volks!
Also, anyone ever tried converting an auto dash harness to manual? Didn't realize the harness that was on the dash I bought was for an automatic! It looks like the only difference is the extra wires for the cluster and slap shifter. The auto plug has like 4 or 6 more wires into it and it doesnt fit the manual fuse box. I thiiink that I can just snip a manual plug and solder all the relevant wires onto their counterparts and leave the auto ones tucked up in there.

Well i just went and looked a vigor today for a DD the DA is getting high on miles and i would like to get a few hicups figured out. Plus i dont want to have to drive it everywhere. Now the vigor looks like *** the clear is coming off on the top and the leather seat are falling apart. But it runs good got a check engine like but cant be bad if it run as good as it does. Its also got 174xxx miles on it drives pretty good to although there is something loose/needs replaced in the suspension. May seem like its a piece right but im getting it for $300 so im like HELL YEAH needs a little work but i could end up making some money on it in the end. I will post some pics of it even though its a turd when i pick it up.

WHAT UP SQUAD
