were you actually sucking kyle's dick when you typed that????
you don't know what you're talkin about, btw. an EK civic coupe has MUCH more potential in a road race then a DA has. understand that. I love my DA. And i've always loved them. But the words you are speaking are plain ignorance. get a grip, dude.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Keep that EK bullshit outta here.
Why was the Honda Challenge winner in a 4door Integra? if a civic chassis is so much better? i think you need to rethink your train of thought, white kyle.

I understand the DA isn't as rigid as the newer chassis like EK, DC's and such, but its just the fact that people want to jump on cool bandwagons, most people who just buy "omg the cool jdm parts and dump it on sleeve coilovers" aren't going to be road racing and just post pics of their car dumped on honda-tech and other forums to get comments; look at morasso for example....... and i guess you haven't seen the potential Pat's DA. </TD></TR></TABLE>
i've seen the potential of his DA. i've seen it a couple times on G2IC. Its a pretty beastly machine. but do the same amount of chassis work to an EK and your outrunning him. Didn't he reinforce the rear subframe? Wonder why he did that?

The Integra probably won because of the the driver's skill and the team he belonged to. Thats how every race is won. That's why the Saturn team kicks *** in drag racing. not because a Saturn ION is a better chassis then a DC5.
I'm not doubting an integra's capabilities. Instead, MattyG2 seemed to be doing that. He was blabbing that civics were only good in a straight line, and blah blah blah. Which is not true. and when you compare the civics in question (generally 92-00) they are in most cases better choices for road racing...

I never said civics are only fast in straight line racing, read carefully what i put. Generally people only care about drag racing and never even think of road racing because they are too scared to take turns in their car above 20mph

damn people..this is gettin outa control

I just like the feel of a DA going through turns..I'm a lil sketchy about EG's and EF's and EJ's I dunno I've just been a fan of the DA for about 9 years now whether people bash them or what doesn't hurt my feelings cause I know what I like.

thats a pretty general statement. I'm sure you wouldn't like a general statement made about people who put "systems" in their cars....
How about another generalization with some data to back it up?
It seems that there are a LOT more CRX's in the record holders in the Honda Challenge.* There are PLENTY of Integras on that list and a couple DAs. Next take a look at the banner at the top of the page.
The reason i am responding to these is because the only DA i've ever built was built strictly for handling. That was really the only performance mods I made. I have a '91 Integra and a '91 CRX and i chose to build the CRX for Road Racing. So i ditched the DA in favor of a civic. This is the situation that you are attacking.

maybe the road race guys are scared of going 166mph in 10 seconds??? that sounds kinda frightening.

good choice. that s/c wouldn't have been worth the work. They seem to pull like strong N/A setups...not like boosted setups.
What kinda build are you doing? i wouldn't mess with the block at all. Stock block, thin head gasket, and head work....that can be good for 210whp but it stays reliable, and inexpensive... Just my opinion.

i have skunk2 valves, valve spring and retainers along with a skunk2 intake manifold and the head is ported with bronze valve guides. im getting some blox b cams and i also have skunk2 proseries cam gears to go in. i just want the car to be reliable and good for road racing. no more drag racing for me.
