Bump for a great thread. Here are three new photos taken tonight. I'm just about done with the hood. Have a few small things left then just smooth it all out real nice and get the deeper scratches in the fiberglass and such out. Next week I should be ready to primer it. Then I move onto the fenders.

 

car looks good but why would u do all that work just for itr headlights? seems kinda pointless to me

notting but IMO they look far from good on a G2...since they belong on a G3

 

i think its a unique project, not many have tried it, its good to be different. i tried putting them on my g2 once before but i wasnt up for all that work, good luck

 

as stated in many previous posts if you were to read them, I am doing the project one because not many have or have done it right I have only seen one other DA that did it and didnt rice out their car with insane body kits and crap. Also I am in school for autobody right now and am wanting to work in a custom shop when I am done not just a collision repair place or just paint cars. Doing something like this and doing it all on my own will add alot of credability to my resume when I start looking for work. The reason I picked these particular lights is because they are very close in style to the DA headlights, the DA headlights were honda's inspiration for these so I figured it would be a good choice, different enough but not to crazy, so there ya have it take it for what it is or dont take it

I think it looks fine. Its definately not ricy, and its different. Plus he already gave us his situation why he wants to do it, and it sounds like a good reason to me.

 

I think it will look great. It's better than the ******* retards who try to pull off "conversions" like Benz headlamps on a Civic by using 100 lbs of bondo.

 

i never though i would see all this hating on a G2 thread. that was like 3 hatings almost in a row. that **** looks really good. to most DA junkies, if its not one-piecers its no good.. which is pretty much true in any case except this one. the conversion is being done clean and thouroughly, and its looking damn good. so if cant show the man some respect for his hard work and dedication on this project, why comment? many props homie, keep it up.

They can't respect good work when they see it.

 

Ill have ta take some new pics, Its now sitting on rota group n's and also has oem mirrors,(1 pc headlights on there way)

That ITR headlight setup looks badass on that G2. The ITR and DA headlights are much more similar than G3 and ITR headlights, those look great on that G2 great job. Most headlight conversions look like crap because they don't flow with lines of the car, these ITR and DA headlights are very similar and that ITR light setup compliments that car greatly. Lookin forward to finished pics.

 

i could tell you this i wouldn't do gen3 headlights on my car , but hey man more power to ya , hope to see it when its done
