thats the umm..."JDM"/NorCal hood slant

not sure of its purpose, alot of people do it for show, but some people need to do it due to extended top hats, engine not fitting properly, etc

I plan on doing that so that my hood lines up correctly with my bumper.

ROFL!!!!!!!!

People over their claim it as their own?

wow, what a joke.

Its been done for YEARS on other types of cars. Mainly the grassroots racer that doesn't have the high-tech airflow characteristics of a purpose built car. Its supposed to aid in letting hot engine bay air escape. I did it to my car during the summer and noticed that my engine temps were considerably lower. Its like a cowl hood without buying a retarded looking piece.

I need some help ASAP!!!

Does anyone in the MD area have a hookup for emissions testing. I just wanna have a backup plan incase they make me get on the dyno. Two years ago I passed due to being to low. But maybe they revised that one, anyone know?
Thanks!

by the way... on my daily driven DA, how much boost is safe to run on an internally stock b18a1 ? i was thinking around the ballpark of 8lbs. ? anyone ? also im looking at the garrett t3/t04e, which trim and a/r sizes are appropriate for an LS. how's .50 trim and .63 a/r sound? too big for such a low revving engine? help me people.

it acts as a cowl like on the muscle cars etc. too much turns it into 1 huge windshield. with this effect, will cause body lift at higher speeds. anyone beg to differ? not practical on a daily driven car. car accident turns that hood into a guillotine.
