I've got a little contribution Herb.
Most recent upgrade. Went with the B&M dual bend and ES shifter bushings. Holy Sheet! My favorite mod so far.

Had to replace a fog light last week so I figured, time to polish some lights again.

2.5yrs ago this happened (another b17a bites the dust!)

That lead to this

And this

Finally back together 9 months after the engine blew

One year after the engine blew, back at the same track but much faster with a new (larger) engine and wider wheels/tires. But still with some issues to sort out.

Then she sat for another 9 months since, as I've found out, first time home buyers don't have the time or money for track time. First time I took it out of the garage since moving was to meet some local car friends for a BBQ and this happened in a parking lot.

Fast forward almost another year and still no progress other than gathering up some parts for the repair
We got a few lol
Nice db, i wish i had one for a daily. I need a new shifter and some new bushings also.
Nice, can't wait to see those sides finally put to use lol
Damm, a string of bad luck. Sucks about the motor and then getting hit in one of the worst spots in the rear

Yeah, it's shitty but hey, that's how things go. And in the end the car will be better off. I've been talking about painting the whole car for years and years, but with it being a track car it just didn't seem like a worthwhile expenditure. Now my hand has been forced, lol. I'm going to be pretty stoked that the car will be all one color again - I HATE the "panda" look that it has now with the CF hood and roof.

No seriously don't do that. I like the panda look with da's and db1's but I guess I can see your dilemma with the color matched trim. It doesn't look as good. But in all honesty... any carbon is sexy AF in my opinion. What color are you going to paint?
So carbon wrap whole car?

Both the hood and roof were done for weight savings - function over form - and it was always my preference to have them color matched eventually. I'll be respraying the car the original color. I already had the engine bay painted when I did the most recent engine swap so now I'm gonna have the exterior and jambs done. Eventually I'd like to have the interior painted as well but that's not too important at the moment. My goal with the exterior is to have it look fairly at home on the street, local meet/show...etc and equally at home on the track as that's it's primary purpose. Here's what it looked like after I first got the car put together in 2009 after buying it as a shell from a friend

Got the bay painted b529p Fiji blue pearl. Used nason base and a cheap urethane clear I use for jamb areas.

freshened up the b20b that will go in for now

Thank you. Got the car into the garage and pulled the doors and quarter glass. Turns out the doors are mudded up so I'm on the hunt for a clean set of doors.
Picked up some USDM lights and amber corners for $25. #win
I really like this look on the white. Not sure if I like it more than one-pieces but it'll do for the winter.

I switched back so I could do the 9004 to 9007 conversion. We have a lot of deer out here in the sticks where I live and since it's dark on the way to work and on the way home... yeah. I am so happy with the 9007 bulbs and I don't even have Silverstars or anything fancy yet. Just regular halogen and WOW!!
