sweet, but he should have had the bumper fabricated so it doesnt look as wierd. cant really see it in that pic, but i know it looks kinda cheesy having a cut-out on one side, with the exhaust on the other. especially on such a nice car too. but the titanium exhaust is hella pimp

my new project DA. It was a theft recovery

transfered some of my stuff off my old da. Except the motor =/

i'm gonna miss my old DA. I sold her to my brother in law.

i'm gonna miss my black DA. It was my first car, had it for about 7 years. The new DA was my buddy's DA. It got stolen and recovered as a rolling shell.
here's a pic of how it use to look before i owned it. Parked next to my old black DA.

That entire section is going to be cut off to make room and aid in next year's aero tuning, so no more blank cutout!

when you say the entire section, do you mean like that whole lower part that tucks underneath, and presumably grabs the air and creates drag?? id love t see pics when its done

im guessing like what some people do to the 98+ rear bumpers were they cut the diffure looking think out.
BTW 92lsvtec what did you use to close the stock cut for the muffler on the rear bumper?

Little off topic but...I've been looking through some of this thread, and I have searched, but does anyone have a link or pictures of that guy that was a white DA with bronze wheels, and his dad has a jade green? DA with black wheels. I remember seeing a thread about it a couple months ago.

I think the wheels (silver) are made by black racing ( think of Buddy Club origin or something. Dont quite remeber). The mesh with red lip I think is Racing Sparco. And the Black Mesh, well, it looks like some form of BBS (maybe from the old Veedubs).
Those silver suckers are just absurdly sexy. Loving it

i had a junk bumper for a DA and cut out the section from the other side and fit it to the hole. it wasnt too difficult, but i do body work, and my dad helped me out with it. not to mention, the specialty"Extreme Plastics Repair" glue to glue it in with. most people would think there is a lot of bondo in it, but there is a very small amount. i cut out the exhaust opening from the junk bumper, (left it in on the new one for strength) but due to clearance issues on the other side, and not wanting to possibly ruin a brand OEM bumper, i decided against it.

well, ill give warning, its really not an easy thing to do.... and you could very well destroy a perfectly good bumper or two... be careful, and seek prefessional help... that is if funding is available.... if i charged out for it, parts supplied by owner, i would charge about $200-250, ready to paint....
