i wanted to exactly match the body, but they don't make pastel adobe gold in a spray can, the best i could do was Ford sunburst gold, these lincolns only came in two colors, gold and silver, and the color depended on the trim level, you didn't pick your color, Ford did

 

well that's annoying

 

it was a prestige thing, if you had the silver lincoln, you were riding in style, leather seats, all the bells and whistles etc. the gold was the base model, you couldn't switch colors, i like the base better personally, the velour interior doesn't crack and split. I found the original paperwork, they paid 40 grand sticker for this one in 90, i paid 1000 for it in 2010

 

wow. how much more was the silver package? 40g's in 90??? thats a chunk o' change!

 

well they paid sticker, must have had dough, i think with discounts they ran around 30-35 in 90. I picked up one of the fancy items today, self dimming mirror, it's going in the hatch, very useful against the idiots tailgating you with thie brights on

 

though i had the day off tomorrow.. Turns out im working :/
