Boost
-To smash all these little rice ****ers around here where I live. All the little bastards here drive around town with there little fart machines hot rodding like they're cool.

Wire Tuck
-To have a MEGA clean engine bay. So when I go to local car meets I don't mind opening my hood

I dont know, do what you want. I don't street race, and I don't care what people think of my bay, so I couldn't really give you an opinion on it.

Benny what are your goals if you do go boost? Is there a number in your head that you want to make to the wheels? Sohc motor's can do very well when boosted and done with a good kit. Ive seen people do 200whp with a ebay turbo kit (but never seen a dyno sheet to prove it). All in all a turbo sohc is fun but if not done right and half assed will be a huge waste of money. There is a kid who goes out to the local cruz street (long road in the city every one cruz on during the weekend and races) he has a d15bvtec with a ebay kit boosting 8psi half *** job my brother beats him in his accord and can care less about being fast.

The ebay kits tend to be hit or miss...they're generally fine if you have the manifold reinforced before you use it and replace the wastegate and bov with some quality pieces. Of course a pump and injectors with atleast a basemap are manditory...that's generally overlooked by most kids trying to go fast for cheap these days.

There is a huge 5 mile long street maybe longer idk. People meet up and chill at diff spot's during the summer on this street its straight the whole time. People cruz it and if you get next to some one they run it. The road Ts off at the end people turn back around befor they get there to go back down the street. Cops know of this street i guess it has been the spot for many year's to race/ cruz. Then on the other side of town the lowrider's cruz downtown and the ricer import gangbanger's do it to. Its kinda cool because the whole time your going up/down this street all kinds of parking lots are full of car's and people haning out. Im from cali so when i seen this i was like wtf is going on?

My goal is get make 220 WHP.
But my problem is I know nothing about forced induction.
I have a friend who is a boost junkie. So I was going to have him help me.
IDK what to get, all I will need.

I need help. I don't want to start my own thread, because too many people on this forum are jerks. All I want is some serious help, guidance on my car.

Wish i could help but im not a boost fan sure it makes power. But i always hear how much of a pita it is to keep it running right. To much upkeep for me id rather stay na make OK power and not have to **** bricks every day when i drive it.

Im just keeping my car slow. I want it quick but eventually I am going to build one for the track.. Eventually I might just put a torque converter on my auto and a shot. Enough to pull some quick cars haha.

Yep. With a boosted car you have a lot more maintenance, and a lot more problems. But if you have it tuned really good for dd or however you want it you should be ok. Build a different engine and go all motor if anything imo

Probably can't.. unless the internals are built the **** out of..Gotta go with a different powerplant. Like my f22b1 is pointless to build for n/a...it can handle 8psi on stock block but it doesn't get me a ton of power for the cost. I am better off building a h22 or h23 for my accord

you can build a sohc and make somewhat decent power but in the end you've lost the driveability and oem reliability that comes with a swap...that's just my opinion....

You have a d16y8 sohc vtec motor. I would pnp the head look into a cam and cam gear cold ait intake and a lighter flywheel get a small tune and call it a day. Now if you want to bump cr id go with some 88-89 integra pistons and rods if you want slap them in take 0.20 off do the rest i listed nice header and exhaust and be happy.

Any adjustable gear is good you dont get power from that lol. Cam all depends on what you want from the car. BISIMOTO i think makes the best D series part's around first guy to get a d16a6 na to 200 whp. And has a 700 whp d16a6 boosted. Check out his website.

Honestly I wouldn't start tearing the motor apart/boosting it, or whatever you have planned till you know a little more about your motor, or the system you want to go with. You'll not only spend tons of useless money on parts that look cool, but don't do much, but you also might actually decrease the power of your engine and so on and so fourth.
