You bring up a good point. What I like, and what I do to my car are almost two different things. I guess my likes and needs differ, haha.

My car is all stock, except an intake, and a paint valve cover. I drive an automatic, even though I can drive stick, and as of Wednesday I'll have a new suspension set up. I like built up cars, but I'm really trying hard to prioritize my life, haha.

There is a highschool kid a few streets down from where I live, he has an older accord, and no matter what I'm driving, my honda, my jimmy, my dad's truck, he tries to race me.

i can get a cone filter and put it over my stock intake tube, but it's just not the same look lol. i don't think they perform as good eaither, but i could be wrong. my friend has some intake tube that ill prolly peice together and make my own and slap a skunk sticker on or something lol.

As far as my car goes, at one point you were a noob also. I am new to the Honda scene, everyone was at one point. Who cares if I have a Vtec sticker. 16y8 is a single cam Vtec is it not? So whats the harm of having a SOHC-Vtec sticker on my car?

If you also read my posts that I have posted in regards to his civic, I said it was MY PERSONAL OPINION.

haha sounds like everyone in my town....they either have daddy's completely stock mustang (or in one case a v6 auto mustang with cobra terminator body parts and wheels) or a jeep and they all try to race.

the upstate ny scene is big gaudy chromes on a 90s buick or beat to hell with half a body kit and a huge fugly wing. in ri (aside from my town) it's pretty poppin...my boy chris has an accord...and he met another kid named chris with an accord exactly like his....

well if you lower the car i would suggest keeping something in the engine bay because a few days after lowering mine, both my fender-liners disappeared which is why my intake is so short. no, slaping a filter on the end of the stock hose wont do much because of the resonators on the tube. i bought the elbow for mine at a local parts store for like 5 bux or something

 

Hey guys im going back to cali are they still coming down hard on HONDA? I was out there last year but they left me alone (the cops) because of my out of state plate. But now that im moving back for work im going to have to reg it out there. So are they still made crazy about pulling hondas over and popping hood's?
