were 3 inches off the ground with full tein edfc, i need to stop killing my tires, 6 months kills new tires on both sides, i need a good setup
ok guys so i was thinking about being a trater for a while,
i was gonna build my ls for nitrous,
but now, i think ima build a z6 for nitrous.
tell me what yall think about this setup,
ill be using a a motor that ima get off craigslist, ill be trading my ls ecu and dizzy for the whole motor, has some ticking in the motor, but its bieng rebbuilt anyway,
so z6
ls rods
npr pistons that should put me in the 11.6 to 1 range
with acl bearings
npr rings
arp rod and head bolts
slight pnp on the head
y8 intake
undecided cam
more than likely an xtd stage3 clutch
mandrel bent exhaust with new cat and quiet exhaust
with probly a 100-150 wet shot on a single fogger
what do yall think?
what would yall change?
should it be pretty quick?
and also i hae an s200 but idk if ill be able to use it if the tuner cant tune it

guys i need some help on clutch decision becaus emy birthday is around the corner and ill be getting some money and i need a clutch so i was thinking about F1 stage 3 possibly with 8lbs flywheel with it mainly because i want to get the most out of the motor before i decide what i want to do with it NA or BOOST. i have been hearing mixed reviews about these setups, however all the people who are whining are the same people who are pushing a lot of powerr and they expect it to perform like exedy and act etc. my question is will this thing stand up to say about 250 whp maxxx for a daily set up? thanks in advance guys.

as for you clutch ?:
i would get something with some real r&d behind it, from a reputable brand (exedy, aem, clutchmasters, centerforce...)
stage 3 might be excessive, but if you do hit 250whp you might need it.
and lastly, in my opinion, i would do the flywheel while you have it all apart. provided you can afford to get a clutch and flywheel. also recommend getting arp clutch plate and flywheel bolts, they are relatively cheap.

Is anyone familiar with the IAT sensor on an obd1 D series? I only need to know what makes the CEL 10 come on. Obviously the IAT comes on when the intake air is either too cold or too hot.
The stupid CEL comes on at random, when it does, my idle fluctuates for no reason.

the reason i was looking at that kit was because i can get the power i want out of it for relatively cheap. Gripforce also has another kit that includes an exedy oem replacement kit with an 8 lbs flywheel for the same price. I've always been quality over quantity guy but I'm really debating this because of what every one is saying about the clutch. i also read that the clutch still has a relatively stock feel on the pedal but bites hard while engaging. I'm going to look more into it i might just end up getting an exedy or competition clutch stage 1 or 2 kit with a flywheel.

if it is a stock replacement then it will choke the pipe you are upgrading too so it would be counter productive. if the borla is rusty but still sounds good, then you can pull it off, sand it and hit it with some high temp primer and paint
whats up guys remember back in the day when it was cool to have a half sized radiator in your car and you couldnt find anybody that wanted a full size. well i just traded my half size aluminum radiator with slim fan (ebay hehe) for this bad boy (and yes the overflow tank is minez too )

congratz on the pick up matt that rad looks clean do a leak down test to make sure its gud and its not going to leak on you.

as far as the HID kit goes you can do 8000K but only if you do a 55W kit because majority of the time the kits are sold with 35W ballasts but the 55w ballasts are brighter and dont get blue till like 9-10K. 55W 8K looks like 35W 6K
