Got Traction whats your build consist of if you don't mind me asking? I'm currently building a Y7/Z6 combo completely built along with a fully built head. the bottom end is stock bore but the head has been ported and polished. im just trying to get and estimate of things i may have to do to reach my 400whp goal. im going to upload my pics so i can join the SOHC SQUAD too this thread is sick!!! represent for the ek's too lol nice cars guys i love em keep em coming....
75mm ycp vitara's
hastings rings
acl bearings
eagle h beams
arp studs
oem 3 layer metal head gasket
d16y8 head
crower stg 2 turbo cam
crower titanium valve spring retainers
crower valve springs
rotating assembly was balanaced, crank was polished
if you want to half *** it there is a hole between the shock tower and the firewall, you can run the wires thru there for the headlights, that would put them to where you can run them thru the fenders. If you want to do it right, i would pull your dash to give you good working room and run them thru where the door harness comes out of the body, thats what i did, and i also relocated my fusebox to inside the car.
I can haz part of SOHC squad? I just finished swapping my old D15B7 for the D15B w/vtec not too long ago. Love my SOHC. Gas mileage ftmfw!!!

remove the plastic covers for the seatbelts, and then flip them around.
i dont mean switch driverside with passenger, but simple remove driverside and turn it around and bolt it back on. do the same for passenger side and you can still use both bolt holes. removing the plastic covers doesnt look the greatest, but then again the retractable belts arent really that visible.

you'll have to drill out a hole in the dashboard support on the driveside. you'll notice that the screw holes dont line up, its not a big deal but i've never seen this step covered when someone mentions they've used a GSR center console.
people always say its a straight bolt on which it isnt.
oh you need to drill out 2 holes under the e-brake lever, there are two oem screw holes there already but you'll see what im talking about. the armrest portion of the console wont match up with the ef holes. onces again this is really easy took me like 15 mintues for everything.

Nice
GSR center console is WAY better looking than the EF optional console and the oh so rare optional arm rest. i guess i really like the pocket area under the cup holders and under the E-brake handle.
