hood shim man...usually people with ITB's do this to act like a "cowl induction" system, but it also ventilates heat too, I had it on mine, it just made the intake and engine louder hahaha

^ i wish i could help. but i don't know.

i first heard that the tilted hood thing was a cooling thing. but then i started to hear that it was for itb's. either or it was a cheap, or free upgrade that most everyone did at some point. i did it, and put it back because it made my engine bay dirty a lot.

You have to remember people sometimes get overlooked; why don't you PM him to find out why?

so squad member 359 now has a rebuilt tranny in his car and i should know cause me and him just finished 5 minutes ago!!
it was worth the all nighter cause now he can represent tonight at the murrieta meet!!
and fyi the all nighter also consisted of fixing a friends crx and body work on our buddies supra!!

and as to the shimmed hood i notice my engine bay is a lot cooler after a long drive and my temp sits a bit lower, and to throw something stupid out it also allows me to spray cars with my washer fluid when they ride my @$$

High Honda tech well my Da started life automatic and very stock. I had the car 3 years as a daily driver while owning 2 other MR2s. Very basic mods were done in the time like a custome exhaust system with magnaflow muffler and resonator and an AEM cold air intake. Now to this present day the car is my current project and a full makeover. Loving the body lines and the style of the Da integra it is one of my most favorite of all the gereation Integras out there. The car is currently getting taken apart, cleaned up, and going LS turbo wit a B18A block with a block guard, stock ls pistons, shot peened rods, stock crank, everything balanced and blueprinted, B20 head fully built (currently finding out where I can get parts or if i can use B18B internals) spooling manifold with a t3/t4 57trim turbo. Plus the body is getting painted and also brand new rad support.. Joining up the crew cause everyone shares the same love for the same car just like me while aslo being able to share knowledge (and in my case learn) about the Da chasis.
Before any work started

Now recent pics and engine pics (Currently engine is out and new engine is being built
