'90, b18a, 5spd, 193,000 km's, act stage II clutch and lightened flywheel - intake/full exhaust, that's about it. If it matters.

Car turns over, cranks, and dies immediately. It bursts to 900-1000 rpm, then dies. Sometimes I can catch it and rev it to about 1500 and it dies anyways.

I tried push starting it, but it was so icey I couldn't get it moving enough.. I had it started when I stuck it in first and popped the clutch and floored it hard when it was moving forward a bit, and it ran fine for a half hour till it stalled at the gas station - where CAA came and picked me up to go to a garage.

No fucking idea.. Anyone? No gauge lights saying it's in trouble - but when I start it, it dies, and I try again etc. I can hear something (sounds like flywheel) slowing down.. could also be starter, I havn't heard it before but my exhaust is so damn loud I don't think I'd be able to if the car was running.

God this is such a **** off.. I was about to fix everything cosmetic cus it was running so damn good..

I'm guessing the following.

#1 - bad dizzy.

#2 - fuel pick-up issues may definitely be a problem, too.

#3 - Battery

Have you done anything at all with the motor recently???

keep it in neutral for one....the tranny shouldn't have anything to do with it starting and idling.

I just heard back from my garage an hour ago, turns out it's the solenoid behind my key - like when you turn the key and it completes the circuit and starts the car.. Mine doesn't.

$100 part, $150 in labour.

I figured it was distributor, but when it does start it runs fine..

And I also thought fuel, but again when it starts it's fine and idles normal and sounds normal..

And my battery has a solid charge - my lights come on, my stereo plays, everything works the way it should..

I'll keep you guys updated.. Man this is the first time I've let anyone else touch my DA..

On another note, when I got my car stuck in the snow yesterday I noticed that my door handle is now magically fixed. It wasn't springing back so I had to push the handle closed from the outside so the door actually /closed/

It now springs fine.

Huh.. explain that one too..

 

Hey guys, I don't post much, just read and learn. I thought I'd post here cause I have two DA's. My white one has a blown b18 bone stock and sits outside my house, and my black one has a 97 b20b, with a blown head gasket. In my garage I have megan headers (meh), new rad, obx hoses, and a skunk2 IM. I'm looking around the area for a B20Z, I found some and just looking for the best price. I can't decide whether to do it myself, or get it installed with some sort of shop warranty. When I take out the old b20b I want to get it up on my stand and eventually put it in my white teg. I have money I just don't want to put a ton into it unless I know its gonna work, and I think a 2000 motor in there will be the trick. I guess I'm just looking for tips and advice.

this thing is pretty i have been lookin for a G2 gsr are for so long and still have not found one that is callin my name. the either have a almost 300,000 miles or are about 7g's guess i might just have to buck up

clean3two3 i have the same problem with my lights, i still dont know what it is, could be that its dirty on the inside maybe? it has to be something on the bulb or the actual light itself thats causing it

yea integra1.8L has been slacking, since i got back from vacation
