yeah im using acl's. everywhere i looked were sold out til late september. how did the acl's work out for you? ive got the mains in and they all came out within oe specs, according to my plastigauge. this is my first build and im really scared that ill turn the key and itll spin a bearing, taking my $1400+ dollars with it.

edit-forgot to mention that that deal is insane! i paid $95 for one set (mains, rods, and thrust washers).

ok guys, so heres an update..I just got out of class and was heading home, and my clutch pedal starts feeling loose and my clutch is not grabbing fully. I pull over and check the cable and everything seems alright. I call my friend and he says my clutch probably went out since it was not fully grabbing. In order for me to go home, I had to keep the RPM's around 2k. and whenever i pressed on the gas, the RPM's would go higher without me going faster.
So my question is, did my clutch go out and I need to get another one? I dont think my transmission is done since i can still shift into the gears..
Can anyone help? or give advice?
my car is 92 DA, stock trans, 192k miles

yeah, def. sounds like you fried your clutch. pull the tranny out and pull the pressure plate off and you'll have you're answer for sure. but i'd put my money on it being fried

well that all depends on what you have done and what your plans are man. i have stage 1 act disk and pressure plate on my stock b20 and its great. so if you're stayin stock or close to stock for a while, i'd just go with a stage 1 clutch kit from act or exedy or somethin like that. i know the act is rated up to like 240 ft lbs or close to that.... i actually snagged mine off ebay used for 9k miles for 65 shipped to my door and it still grabs like a champ. there are always used act kits on ebay

where have you heard this? this would be a first for me. exedy is a great clutch. i've ran them in cars in the past/present and have had no issues with grip what so ever.

were you driving hard?? i was and broke my Throw out bearing ears if thats what you would wanna call them lol the things the springs go into lol

i got a exedy stage 2 sprung 3 puc with act 7.5lb flywheel it kicks *** lol,

since your mainly stock and dont plan on doing much i would go witha Exedy stage1 Kevlar Disk and just get your OEM flywheel turned at your local westbay or what ever shop will do it cost like 30-40 bucks
