Guys need some help here. Does anyone track their car that knows if they make a harness bar for the 96-00 4DR? Prefer something non-invasive to the rear passenger area. Was thinking I could just get the Sparco bar, but according to their website it does not look like they make one for us. Appreciate any info, feedback on other bars and pics you guys might have.. Thanks.

Will you put money on that info? Don't want to order it and it not fit the sedan. Why wouldn't a hatch one fit?

ive looked into that, theres no way to do it without defeating much of the purpose of owning a sedan. i did see something in hikarus car somewhat similar, he had a bar connecting the upper arm "oh poop" bars with a strut bar type deal... not what you asked for but i thought it was interested.
pics of the beast!
confirmed with my enginebuilder, that i can push 200 shot safely. he worked with me the entire build and im super excited, ts everything i wanted. i left saying... so i can thrash on this thing out the box ready to go. he says go beat on it all day... 11 seconds here we come...

NRG makes a harness bar similar to the sparco bar. I have a friend that has it but its on his EM1. I've been wanting to do a test-fit but I cant find his old number.
Im very sure the B-pillar's dimensions are the same for all eks. the only concern is the adjustable seatbelt mounts which will be rendered useless once a harness bar is installed. Im gonna put my money on sparco tho.

yea its not a harnass bar, ive determined if your lookin to increase structural integrity good luck, and if your going for looks tehres tons of whacky bars out tehre you can add which dont do anything but look cool to people who have a fetish for bars... my opinion, get frame locks, get asr rear brace, get traction bar, use a racing seat on drivers side and go get corner weighted.... tahts if you wanan go fast... looks are something else im no good at

Jay -Ok here's the deal. I need the bar for the seat belt setup. Reduced chassis flex is secondary benefit. Not looking for the h ****: handle bar. Up that high I don't think it would do any good anyway. I saw the NRG one. In the description it says it fits 88-00 Civic. That's a pretty big range. Also doesn't say if its for hatch/sedan or coupe? I looked at what Danny was using, and he ended up with full cage. I don't need that.

I don't have a bar fetish. Other intentions are at hand....
Goal#1 is too loose my stock belts because they dont work well with the seats I have due to the high shoulder bolster.
Goal#2 is to improve safety for two front occupants.

i cant right now. im using my "kids" laptop lmao
could be that the NRG bar has more adjustability but dont quote me on that.
they might have made the horizontal bar (actual harness bar) length adjustable. hnce, making it fit 88-00 civics
OR maybe they did make one for each and all civics but just ditched a list.
lemme settle this in one phone call to a NRG products seller. brb

Re: (battle951sedan)
when it comes to bars, you want no adjustability. you probably want a 96-00 civic bolt in part engineered for our frame and mounting points... my2.
man battle im excited about this master cylinder... i was driving a big van today and was paying attention to the brake feel.. i wonder if i should up my booster size while im in there. i love responsiveness and light touch. i dont like pushing the brakes, i like pressin em.. waht you think yay or nay? i have a spare 99-00 si coupe boostetr but i think integra is bigger.

i had the ITR bb and mc in my old ek. difference is night and day compared to any civic setup lol
only thing that i was missing before was the brake prop valve off the em1. i realized the difference when i drove my bros em1. it really does put more bias to the rear. all that hoopla about how drum prop valves move more fluid in the rear
is BS. maybe they do, but i sure did not feel it stronger than the rear em1 bias.
@mallard, it looks like the NRG is a no go. the only adjustable feature is the angle at which u set the bar for the harness.
even the nrg seller do not recommend their bars
go sparco but we still need to confirm fitment.

Re: (battle951sedan)
from what i undersatnd neither prop valve allows more fluid to go to either front or rear, but rather the drum brake prop valve directs pressure flow to the rear first. once the rear shoes come in conctact and resist the fluid is routed to the front than from there they are both equal. on a si prop valve you get non of this since the rear pads are more efficient at braking and are already draggin on the rotors. so a non drum prop valve will send pressure to both front and rear at the same time so you get less dive and a more linear brake feel.

i felt the opposite actually. more nose dive with my stock DX prop valve.
and then there have been statements that hatchback and EM1s had the same prop valve/part number. i dont know whats true anymore.
when u get the chance to test the brakes on a em1, do it. you'll know what im talking about. it just "feels" better.
i wonder if the big 26mm swaybar upfront has something to do with the minimal nosedive...hmmm.
