From page 1752...well said portflow
I like to look at the older car guys. I really admire a lot of the respect I see them hand out. I've never heard a old man say that his car was better than anyone elses. It's not about that, it's about enjoying something personally and sharing that with friends. Satisfying your own interests and desires. Now with the world wide web, it's easy to connect with people of similar personality types. You guys are all great, and I love talking to you guys every day. I like being able to share my experiences with my machine with the rest of you, and I love hearing your stories. That makes me feel alive. I really love cars, and nobody anywhere could ever change that for me. I just wish to spread the deep love that I have for cars to others, in hopes that they may see what I see. Never hate, cars are in the happiest part of my brain. I would not want to contaminate that with hate. That's why when I sense something that is other than love for the car, I get turned off. This is a car discussion board, the only real place I can come and talk about only cars. It's hard for me to find people on the street that share the same passion. Very hard. So for that, I'm thankful for all of you guys. ![Hugs](https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/hugs.gif)

When I first picked it up:

![](http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i157/jap4g4d/crack.jpg)
Had a cracked front bumper and hail dings all over the hood, not to mention ebay coilovers all the way down on oem shocks with untrimmed bumpstops smh.
It now rides on Koni/GC with Buddyclub upper arms and rear camber arms along with EM1 front and rear disc.
I replaced the bumper, hood, fenders and acquired a EM1 lip and grill. I have Morimoto projectors from TheRetrofitSouce to put in eventually and some 5000k bulbs. Will be nice to have a solid cutoff and no glare.

Hey guys, hows your sunday going?
Got a few questions (like ever stop with the Q's lol) but I was looking at some input with Hawk HPS pads. Does anyone use them in your car for daily driving? Do they make noise at all? casue I've been reading mixed comments(here and on youtube lol) that they squeal and some say that their silent as a mouse. I just want to upgrade mine(currently durablast) casue mine don't seem to be stopping unless I push pretty hard on the brake pedal. That's not how brakes are supposed to be right? lol Also, anyone know how to stop squealing from rear drum brakes? Mine are TERRIBLE(but then again, I only paid $12 for the pair, I know, not smart lol)

There's only one way to find out for sure. You've got to try them out for yourself. Personally, I love them and that's what I run on my car. They won't squeak if you use new pads on new rotors and break them in properly. Some lithium grease on the caliper shafts and contact points for the pad-to-caliper help to keep smooth operation.

Yeah, I get ya. I was thinking about getting new rotors too. Would getting them at like pep boys out vatozone be fine? Or should I shell out the extra bucks and get Brembo Blanks? What rotors do you run port? How should I break them in? Do some 40-0 runs?

I use AutoZone rotors. You basically don't want to do any panic stops for a while. Smooth slows from about 40-20. Keep the wheels spinning so they throw off heat. Take it easy before you park so the brakes don't cook. Generally, take it easy and before you know it you'll find yourself pressing on them harder because it feels right.

I will add that I'm going to try OEM pads next only because of dust. I want to see how the OEM's compare.

DM photography, hit up joel (rarespirits) for the complete SiR interior
pinoy boi, any blank replacement rotor will do just fine for daily driving.
Hawk HPSs do not squeal much. HP+s do.
change ur rear drums + shoes and brake fluid while ur at it.

Hey Ladies and gents.
Is anyone here running on 14 inch wheels? I have found an OEM set of optional Honda wheels that I may pick up for my 96 sedan, but I'm not sure 14 will look alright on a car this size. Having a hard time finding the 15' or 16's I want though.
If anyone's rocking 14s and can help me out with a picture from the side, it would be a big help to me. Thanks!

Yeah, I think Im trying to convince myself that 14s are the way to go just because this person has them available. I think I won’t be happy with them in the long run though. I’ll wait it out for something in a 15 or 16.
